They have a salad bar, cold cuts, soup bar, some hot dishes like string beans, rice, and beef stew meat... and a variety of desserts... mostly ice cream and various pastries.

Turkey... at least as cold cuts... can't remember otherwise.

Scaled down from other Disney buffets, but a very good value for the lower cost!

From the Magic Kingdom, it is just a short boat ride away. Nice escape from the MK during the hottest (most of the year) and more crowded part of the day (lunch time).

I personally really enjoyed Trail's End. Both the food and atmosphere was great. We also had an incredibly friendly waiter. The food is what I consider 'comfort food'- yummy mac and cheese, meat, potatoes, breads, different veggies. And for the price, it really was great.
No, you can't use the monorail to get here (it's at the Fort Wilderness campgrounds). You can either take a boat from the WL or MK, or take a bus over. If you take the boat, it's much easier because the restaurant is right near the boat dock, otherwise you have to take the bus through the campground to the restaurant (can't drive up to it since it's in the back of the campground) All in all, I'd recommend this buffet.

We have only doen the breakfast and dinner buffet and it was wonderful, granted that was in Dec 2006, but if it is the same (I heard it changed) it is definitely worth visiting. We had a dinner ressie just as they were opening and almost had the place to ourselves.

We stay at Fort Wilderness every year and always eat at Trails End for Breakfast and Dinner, each a few times each trip. It is a good value.

As mentioned above: NO monorail....Take your car and then catch a bus to the other end of the Fort. Take a boat over and it will put you right beside the restaurant. Or take a bus over, and you will have to transfer to an internal bus that will take you back just like I mentioned if you drive your own car.

We never make ADRs nor do I believe it is necessary. You may have a short wait if you arrive right at dinner time, but it is usually not a problem.

Hope you enjoy!!

We love TR and eat dinner there once every trip. Its good food at a great price. Comfort food, like the pp said. My DH has eaten breakfast there too when I took DD's to CRT one morning. He said the breakfast was yummy too.

Our family had breakfast there in August 2008 and really enjoyed it.

It is a great value for the selection you have. I highly recommend it. We made ADR, but didn't think it was very busy the morning we went.

Still an ADR never hurts.
