Trails End to MK -- how long?!

I am trying to work Trail's End into lunch from the Magic Kingdom....is this doable?

We are going in Oct when hours are shorter -- is it feasible to take the ferry to Trails End for lunch and then back again and not burn a (huge) amount of time?

Any comments appreciated!

This is probably doable. I'd allot 30 minutes each way for transportation though as the boats stop at the Wilderness Lodge on their way to FW. If you're lucky and hit the boats just right both ways, you might be able to do 20 minute trips.

The amount of time it takes will depend on your timing when catching boats to and from FW. From the FW dock the walk is about 2 minutes. I'd give myself about 2 hours . Even if it takes a few hours out of your day-it's a very peaceful way to recharge. If you are bringing kids along, take a bit more time and walk over to the horse barn and petting zoo.

We truly want to eat there too I was thinking about heading over there after our day at AK. Is there a bus directly to Fort Wilderness from AK and do I need a priority seating at Trail's End? Thanks

Yes, you can take a bus to Animal Kingdom from Ft Wilderness. I think you need to take an internal Ft Wilderness bus to get to that bus stop, however.

Trail's End dose NOT take PS's. It is never crowded for lunch, so dont' worry about it.

It's not long at all! The boat ride is fun and relaxing. In the middle of the day, the boats won't be crowded at all.

Trails End is a great, inexpensive place to eat.
