Is it worth booking? What is the best there breakfast, brunch, or dinner?

I see it's buffet and the food looks similar to HDDR? Is it? We are already doing HDDR.

If I don't have a reservation, how hard is it to walk in the first week of November, Jersey week?

We will bring most our food, so we don't "need" to eat there, I just don't want to miss out if its really good.

It is really good - but also really inexpensive compared to other Disney restaurants. We really enjoy breakfast - but heard brunch is even better with having lunch foods. We go in August and never had a problem getting a table the day before or the day of. I am not sure about November - we have never gone at that time. I hope that helps.

Trails End has the same offerings as the HDDR, PLUS so many, many more. Carved beef, pork, pizza, , seafood, mac and cheese, several different kinds of potato dishes, vegetables, salads galore, plus delicious varieties of deserts. So much more, (tons) more than HDDR. There is also an ice cream station for those lovers as well. We love the dinner and breakfast, so hard to choose, therefore, we do both on each trip! You will not be sorry, a stellar bang for your buck.

Trails End is a go to restaurant for us We do dinner the day we arrive and on departure breakfast just before we leave with a few stops in between. My favorite mealtime there is the one I am sitting down for. Dinner is great as are breakfast and the A la Carte lunch. Haven't done brunch yet but will see to that in Dec/Jan

I personally would recommend doing both a breakfast and dinner. They are inexpensive compared to other restaurants and also all you can eat buffet. You can get in without reservations but I'd make them anyway so your not wasting time waiting around. You'll also find the waitstaff extremely friendly, like part of the family.

We went there last year, first time there and even stepping foot into the Fort. We are going back during our stay at the Cabins. Brunch last year, this year as well. I will do that every time we go to WDW. It is awesome!!!

We try to do a farewell breakfast at TE our last morning. Most other days breakfast is a big part of our morning at the camper, we even have family members come over from other resorts to join us.

Pretty sure we couldn't visit WDW and not eat at Trail's End. We love it!! You can't beat the price on property for quality and variety of food. My favorite is the brunch on Sunday...if you make your reservation late enough in the morning, you can have both breakfast-type items AND lunch-type items! Best of both worlds. :)

I've never tried to eat there without a reservation and I've overheard the host advising walk-ups to check the app for availability. I haven't ever had any trouble getting an ADR for my preferred time...it's not one of those where you need to be searching immediately at your 180 day mark.

Last week, we went for brunch with our 6 kids, and it was the most pleasant experience we have ever had at a WDW restaurant. There was literally nothing I could complain about.

Anyone eat at TE then do the Chip n Dale campfire? Thinking of doing this during our October trip instead of HDDR. It will be me, DH, DS3. Our first trip and also arrival dat of trip (no parks on arrival day)

we did PJ's take out last April, never again, breakfast potatoes was a handful of cold tater tots, dog wouldn't even eat them, soggy, yuk

Where can I find the prices for the dinner buffet? This would be for adults in early January (specifically, Wed. January 3)

On the DIS Restaurant forum, VAfamily1998, is a pinned thread named "Buffets, Character, Shows, AYCTE" (All You Care To Eat). Post #1 is kept updated with the current prices and Trails End is in there. It shows prices as far as has been announced (of course they could change again between now and when you eat).

Also be aware as the post indicates that tax and drink are included in the price shown but not tip.
