we are doing 1 Park day pre cruise. We are staying at AOA. I have MK in mind for January. Park opens at 9, I’m looking to do BOG ppo. We are on dining plan so that works for me.
I’m thinking of doing Trails End for dinner. I try and pick something new each time and like leaving the park fir dinner to break up the day.
We will not have a car. From what I have read it’s a boat ride from mk to Fort Wilderness and a short walk to Trails End.
I’m thinking of doing an early dinner as we will probably skip lunch.
I want to see the parade and we usually watch it over by hall of Presidents. Once the parade goes by I would like to head over to dinner.
What is s reasonable time to make my ADR for.
I have to make it on Monday.
Thanks again

When we went to Trails end in 2016 we booked for dinner opening which from memory was 5pm.
We did exactly that. Afternoon parade straight out onto boat for Fort Wilderness (it is about a 3 minute walk from the boat dock) .
Ate a lovely dinner (turned out to be a hit) and then back by boat for evening parade and fireworks.
Getting back was tight but we did still see the evening parade and we were only aiming for the fireworks.

I went to Trails End once. It was a 7:00pm dinner reservation. We got to the MK dock at 6:15. The ferry did not arrive to pick us up until 6:50. Just keep in mind if you miss one ferry by a few minutes, it could be another 30+ before another one comes.

We left Ft Wilderness around 8:30 and luckily there was a boat at the dock as soon as we got there (1 - 2 minute walk from the restaurant). But it was to the resorts. We were told the MK ferry would be a while because of the water pageant. We took the ferry to the contemporary, and the monorail to MK. We missed the fireworks, but got there just in time to have thousands of people charging towards us on Main St and having to wait another 45 minutes to get back on the monorail to get back to our resort (Poly). Fun night!
