Trail's End for Lunch?

We have reservation on our first day at Disney at Trail's End for the lunch buffet. I just looked at the menu and it says it has a sandwich bar along with the soup, chili and salads. Is this all there is? $14.99 for a sandwich bar seems a bit pricey.

We have done the supper buffet and enjoyed. If anyone can tell me anything about the lunch buffet, I would really appreciate it!

Last time we had lunch there - mind you, it was about three years ago - there was fried chicken and mac and cheese and that sort of thing along with the cold lunch bar.

This used to be a regular thing for us when my then-travelmate discovered the sweet tea on hand there Haven't been in a while, but surely they haven't taken the famous fried chicken off the lunch menu?

Can I jump in here and ask a question about Trail's End Buffet? Is it easy to get to? We will have a car and can drive to Ft. Wilderness, but do you have to take other transportation to get to the resturant? I can't find any info on that at the moment.

Things have recently changed greatly .

You should check the camping board and read the gripes about these changes.

You made a comment about the it being just a "sandwich bar along with the soup, chili and salads". I think when they first changed the menu there was even less and had to add things back.

Yes you park in the main lot at the entrance and take a Disney Bus to get there. I don't know which one but hopefully someone else will answer that question.

If you are at the MK you can take a boat from the MK to FW. Its then a short walk.

Make sure to look at a map and catch an internal bus. It is a VERY long walk (we forgot about the buses and walked it).

I also would like to know about lunch and it they still have the fried chicken. All the threads talk about breakfast but how about lunch?
