Trails End Dinner?

Any recent reviews for Trail's End Dinner buffet? Thinking about canceling Chefs de France and heading there. What all is included on the buffet...pecan pie squares is the deal maker.

We tried it for the first time on our last trip and really enjoyed it! Nice selection of food and they did have pecan pie squares which were DELICIOUS and I normally don't like pecan pie.

We went to Trail's End the last week of August and it was fantastic!
They had caesar salad, cornbread salad, tomatoes sliced with balsamic drizzle, mushroom salad, coleslaw, potato salad,corn, green beans, a pan of stir fried veggies (broccoli, peppers, etc), macaroni with veggies and sauce dish, mashed potatoes, gravy, baked potato bar with fixings, fried chicken, roasted chicken, ribs, brisket, sausage, cookies, cake, banana pudding, pecan bars, bread pudding, apple crisp, and an ice cream bar with candy. Everything was delicious!!! mmmmmmmmm

Both my kids came back with candy on their plates the first time they went up to the buffet.

It's where we're eating Thanksgiving dinner, it's the one "must do" for us every trip, especially when we stay at the Fort.

Yes, there are options for a QS credit. Chicken dinners, pulled pork, salad, a few things are available.

The Lone Rider - Fried Chicken - Two pieces, served with a Biscuit or Cornbread and your choice of two sides - Coleslaw, Macaroni & Cheese, French Fries, or Mashed Potatoes - $8.39

Just ate there the last week of August - actually the last day of our trip.

Food was good. Fried chicken, ribs, mashed potatoes, brisket (I think - ity was some cut of beef) and all the associated sides. Would def go back.

Did you end up at Trail's End for Thanksgiving dinner? I'd love to hear more about any changes to the buffet menu. Did they have the usual chicken and ribs, plus turkey?

We'll be staying at Wilderness Lodge, and I'm trying to decide between Trail's End and The Wave (completely different experiences) for my family of four (two kids 9 & 6). There isn't availability at Whispering Canyon, otherwise I might pick that.

Would love your insight!

We are thinking of trying TE too since we are staying at WL. I was wondering if the cornbread and salad, ribs, and fried chicken are the same there as HDDMR? And do they have red velvet cake?

We did go to TE for Thanksgiving dinner. I was so excited because it is one of my favorite Disney restaurants, I always recommend it, the food there is always wonderful! However...I guess I should have checked before if the menu was changed, it was. They served a traditional Thanksgiving dinner buffet...turkey, cornbread dressing, veggies, salad bar....none of the normal Trails End food was there. To me it was not good, very dry. Next Thanksgiving week I will go another night for the regular buffet, it is far better. I hope this helps.
