What fried chicken is available? I noticed in a picture review there were only thighs and legs. Can anyone confirm if there is any white meat?

I also read it is the same as the chicken served at HDDR. Is this correct?

We ate there Christmas day and I had a chicken breast for dinner. Do have to say it was overall our worst meal on property. We will not go back there. I ate there back in '05 and really liked it, this time it felt really down market, limited food selections and 3 pitiful dessert selections. On Christmas day we were even charged an extra fee. Our server was very nice though.

I think we are the minority on not liking Trail's End, but I totally agree. Our Trail's End meal in Oct. was by far the worst meal in our 8 years of going to WDW. I was excited to try this restaurant with all of the good reviews but was severely disappointed. The buffet was a disaster, food spilled all over the place and on the floor. The waiter said it was because they were busy earlier in the night:confused3. It was nasty, I would have left hadn't it been for the trek to get back into FW to the restaurant area.

I used to be a big fan of Trails End, and actually enjoyed the food there. I have to say the last time I was there, I too was very disappointed. The food just was not as good as it had been previously. I thought maybe we just hit an off day, but after reading these comments am wondering if this is the new reality there.

and all the chicken cuts available.

We haven't had the dinner buffet for a few years but back then it was very good and they served the same food as the Hoop Dee Doo.

We went for lunch last year but they had switched the buffet to a menu order only.

We are going to try the breakfast buffet in February to see how it is. What we have heard is that breakfast is as good as the other buffets but only 13.99. It has no characters....

We were over there for the sleigh ride and since I had liked it before it seemed like a good choice. Bleeh  I really remember it being pretty good from '05 but any quality it had was missing for us this time.

i loved trails end for dinner! it was awesome because we made reservations like an hour before we actually went. i mean, the rest of my family doesnt want to do it again, but i certainly do.

We ate there a few months ago, October 2011 and we loved it. All the food was fresh, hot stuff hot, cold stuff cold. Were going back in April!

We've never had a bad meal there - it's our number one choice. I think the only time it is busy is during free dining or holidays. The staff probably isn't used to dealing with a full house!

There is fried AND grilled chicken parts, very tasty ribs and soup/chili, sides and carved meat. The cornbread is tasty and there is pizza and mac & cheese for the kids.

The salad bar is basic, much smaller than a Chef Mickey's or Cape May Cafe buffet version. It has peel & eat shrimp. Desserts are also more limited than the larger buffets but are fine - rice krispie treats, various cookies, hot apple cobbler, self-serve ice cream with a ton of toppings.

This is NOT fancy, elaborate or gourmet. And it's NOT expensive. As long as you go in expecting a plain down-home style meal, you're golden. If you compare it to other Disney World giant buffets, you may be disappointed.

It's definitely worth the price! We'll be there in a couple of weeks so we'll check and see if quality has diminished and let you all know.
