Staying at the Fort for the first time in June. We have eaten at Trails End for dinner before and want to do it again. Currently have a reservation for dinner and another for brunch. Is this overkill? Should I just do brunch and open up the other one for something different?

Our other reservations are:

Ohana (family must do)
Cape May (family must do)
Sanaa (new to us)
Biergarten (it's been a while)

We've only ever done brunch before, but they have several items from the dinner menu (fried chicken, mac n cheese, brisket) so there would definitely be some overlap. I personally wouldn't do both, but since you'll be right there it may be more convenient. Alternatively for dinner I'd offer doing hoo-dee-do which has a lot of the same food, plus of course the great show. Or you could take the boat over to Wilderness Lodge for Whispering Canyon Cafe which is also a lot of homestyle food and offers a fun atmosphere. If breakfast is where you want to do something different, The Wave is our favorite buffet on property. Its smaller than some of the others, but high in taste and quality and like Wilderness Lodge just a quick boat ride from FW.

Ive been to WDW dozens of times. I have my must do's in every park and most resorts. DH was a little tired of going to Disney every couple of years so we stopped for a little bit. My DD really wanted to go back in 2015 and DH agreed ONLY if we didnt do the same things over and over and over gain. It was hard for me to no go to 50's Prime Time, San Angel Inn, California Grill, Rose and Crown hoping for a patio table during Illuminations, 1900 Park Fare for breakfast etc..etc...etc... but if that was the only way for DH to agree to go to Disney, I was willing to give up my favorites and try new things.

Went to Sci Fi for lunch for the first time, Tried Bomas for breakfast, ate at Artist Point, Teppan Edo, Via Napoli and many more. They are all my new favorites!

My advise is try new places and dont repeat! Keep one ressie at Ft Wilderness because it will be close and convenient, but consider changing your family must do's and the second Trails End!

That's us this trip trying several new to us restaurants or meals...
Homecoming (never been), Rose and Crown (never been), Trails End brunch (had dinner in 2014) Boma breakfast (last time was in 2010) Via Napoli dinner (last time was in 2010) Yak and Yeti, Cape May(last time was in 2011) California Brunch (only had dinner in 2010 &2011) and Skippers Canteen which is definitely out of our comfort zone but hoping to be able to dumb down the sides lol There are two we are returning to that we do often Ohana which is a family must do and Sci Fi for lunch another family must do in HS

It was hard not to return to Trex like we do on our 1st day which is always a Disney Springs day but we opted for Homecoming this time... I also really wanted to go back to Biergarten but opted for something different at Rose and Crown...

We've done Hoop Dee Doo 3 times now. And we also love the Wave for breakfast...it was hard not to book that one!! I may offer up Whispering Canyon as an alternative. We stayed at WL but didn't eat there. There are so many restaurants that we have been to, yet many that we haven't. We are also trying to save a little on this trip. I may drop the Trails End dinner - we'll be at AK that day and I may just take advantage of all the great QS there.

Love Trail's End! I probably wouldn't do two meals there in one trip, though.

I'd choose one meal at Trail's and one at Whispering Canyon!
