Hi again everyone!
Just how bad is traffic from John Wayne Airport to Disneyland on a Monday (Columbus Day) at 10-11 am? I'm trying to decide whether we should reserve a taxi with a flat rate or if it would be cheaper as a metered rate. I would just hate to be caught in traffic while the meter keeps running up and instead of the $42 we planned, it cost $80!

Appreciate your time! :)

No traffic problems at all. No need to worry about it. Lyft is your best option.

living in LA my whole life, i will say traffic can be horrific any time of day, all day or surprisingly good. that stretch can be bad but 10 a.m. is usually MUCH better than 8 a.m. on a monday. Columbus day isnt observed by many places so traffic may not be lighter necessarily.

Columbus Day isn't a school holiday and most businesses are open so traffic isn't less as it would be for Labor Day or Veteran's Day. 10-11 am is usually post-rush hour so traffic shouldn't be too bad, but as PP says, you just never know.

Yeah it's really a hit or miss with traffic, but 10-11 a.m seems to have lighter traffic, though I have experienced massive traffic a few times... SoCal is unpredictable with freeway traffic sometimes.

If you can get a flat rate, just take it. Why worry about traffic and routes and red lights and watch the meter to save a few dollars. Knowing the exact amount has to be worth the small cost difference.

Thanks to everyone who replied! I appreciate it! :) I'm just glad we're not coming from LAX!

That's true. It's worth the extra $20 to not worry about it. Plus we're going to have at least 6 full-size suitcases with us, so it will be nice to be able to reserve a larger vehicle to pick us up.
