Trading Spaces, Saturday night with Hildi and Kia

Anyone else watch this one? I actually felt really, really bad for Kia. That woman was incredibly difficult to work with! I am no fan of the majority of Kia's designs, but come on!! You have to at least give her respect, which that woman was NOT doing throughout most of the episode. The HA HA was on that lady when the other homeowners LOVED the room...and I really, really, REALLY liked eek: ) what Hildi did to that dingy garage- I thought it looked fantastic afterwards! Very bright and cheery and FUN! You just never know when Hildi will surprise you with a great room!

I too was shcoked with Hildi, she usually scares me, lol! The other family with Kia.....

I just watched the repeat this afternoon - the homeowners were difficult at best - but at least they both liked their rooms

I watched it also. I'm almost ashamed to admit that I liked the way Hildi's room turned out. It did look bright and cheery.

I also felt sorry for Kia, I usually don't like her rooms either, but I thought the homeowners were very rude.

I missed it last night! DH and neighbors (always over on Saturday for Trading Spaces and dinner) wanted to watch the BBall games! Argghhh! Hopefully I'll catch a repeat...

They usually repeat the new episode Sunday at noon(?) and the following Tuesday at 4:00 pm. eastern.

I had no idea where Hildi was going with that room, but as much as I hate to admit it, it did come toegether in the end.

Kia's bed was AWFUL! I can't imagine giving up a sleep number bed to sleep on a piece of plywood with 4 inches of cheap foam on it. Not only that, it looked too small. Someone on the Trading Spaces boards said there was only a total of 9 inches at the top of the circle for 2 heads to lay down in. I'll bet those people put their own bed right back in the room. The sad part is that Kia spent $500 on the bed, so by the time you subtract that and the 75 soon-to-be-dead roses, they are left with probably $100 worth of new stuff in their room.

The lady with Kia was terribly rude and scarey. I don't blame Kia for getting upset; I wonder what happened off film that we did not see...think the producers told the lady to settle down, maybe? Personally, I hated that room Kia did, but for that couple who obviously spends a lot of time in the bedroom, it was probably perfect for them. ( Maybe he will put his comfort select in another room?) I was surprised with Hildi's room; it turned out great considering what she had to start with and it being Hildi as the designer. Honestly, if I was that lady with Kia, I would be terrible embarrassed at my behaviour protrayed on the episode last night. WHO'S READY FOR HOME FREE TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!
