Why, in the Trading sections, must it be conducted like stupid Ebay?
I think it should be a sort of "offer the autowin or stay away" type of thing.
I have experienced (possibly too many times) my offer being considered.
As the person is about to accept, some random LOSER comes around and offers my offer plus like a little other crap.
I lose out all the time, and it's never all the other way around for me.
Even if the person says their considering two offers, more often than not (if im one of the people), while i am out leading a normal life, some other VMK zombie comes out and beats me to it.

Another rant about this Ebay thing is that sometimes people offer way too much.
If your going to put up an auto win, accept it right away.
I have seen people accept the auto win, but then some oblivious bloke comes along and offers HIGHER THAN THE AUTO WIN.
Dont let greed take over, accept the first person who posts the auto win.

If you are posting an autowin, then you should accept the offer of the person who did the auto win even if someone offered more, it is better for your reputation.

An autowin is something you wish to get ideally. If you get it your gonna be pretty darn happy.

Sorry llama but i agree. I would never turn down more than i originally wanted! I go for the best offer, if the person offers the auto win and a little more, i would definetly go for that offer.

llama62, I never got the problem but once I faced myself the problem, where I've said that I wanted minimum xx credits, someone offered xx credits, so I took that offer because it is a self conscious problem. I would feel bad about myself taking the offer of someone offering the auto win and a bit more than taking the offer of someone who offered the autowin before, that it is just a normal thing to do.

But there is something i dont really agree is the fact that someone should post an autowin, sometimes I really like to see what people are willing to offer for an item because I dont know myself the value of the item so I am not posting an autowin in that case.

I always try to honor the trades I agree with. Obviously circumstances can prevent you to at times but for the most part if you accept an offer you should complete the trade. Auto wins are like Buy-It-Nows on ebay, if someone offers the auto win that should end the auction. Auto wins mean automatic, if someone offers more then the auto win, they have a right to, but in theory the bidding should end with the auto win and the person who offered it first, unless the person has multiples of the said item they are trading.

An autowin is just that-you offer my auto win you win. I have had many times someone offer more. I always go with the first person that offered the autowin. It is the fair thing to do. If I have a second of the same item I will offer it to the person that offered me more then the autowin except I will only take the auto win from them to. You have to have some fairness and integrity.

I've looked at your trades here on the Dis and can't seem to find one that was an autowin that you were outbid on, can you post a link to that?
As for any other trade posting, nobody is committed to trading with someone if they don't feel comfortable with the trade. You think people offer too much? That is their choice. Maybe they feel the item(s) are worth that much, that's between them and the person trading.
I don't think it's nice to be calling anyone a "loser" simply for offering more than your offer. Perhaps a better word would be "winner" because that person won that trade?
I have also seen your threads of items for trade in which you have over-inflated the values of your things. Maybe that's why your trades tend to fall through?
Just my observations.

1. the threads are way in the past.
2. i think you are allowed to pull out when the person hasnt accepted.
3. i dont over inflate offers. just 1 person's opinion. what might be over inflation to one person might be under inflation to another.

If you post an autowin, it should be accepted.

I do not believe anyone should have to post an autowin if they dont want to.

If you REALLY want something, you need to bid for it. Bidding lower than your maximum has its risks, if you walk away dont get angry that someone added 1k and won.

Wow.....All I saw when I read this was zombie and random loser and after that all I saw was yadda yadda. Interesting. First ebay and trading on dis are apples and oranges. Ebay offers a convenient "buy it now" option, a price set by the seller. Nothing to do with greed. Here we have the autowin. Its human nature to want the best for our dollar. We all shop for bargains, and trading is no exception. True autowin should be honored but I guess everyone has their own rules and style. I myself dont like to set autowins. I let others judge the value of things, both here and on vmk. But in my humble opinion....if you want a fair trade and good reputation on the boards....using terms like loser and zombie may not be the best route to take.

I myself dont like to set autowins.

But that does not mean you have the right to go into someone elses thread and say that "it isnt worth" the autowin either, as so many are prone to do these days.
