I know I read that you can trade a QS meal for snacks. Is this still possible?

Yes, we were one of those crazy families using up the snack credits on the last day at the resort gift shop. We had 14 QS left over :scared1: (one illness, the heat, and small appetites) and traded the 3 snacks for each. Brought them all home. The kids had a blast picking out all that junk food. And they all got eaten eventually...

There's not even a hint of this in the brochure, but all reports are that you can trade a QS meal for 3 snacks at ONE location at ONE time. People were even able to do so at the F&W booths last fall.

So, I take this to mean that we might be able to do this at the Flower and Garden festival as well. Hope so!

During our December 2015 trip, we were able to trade one quick service credit for 3 snacks at the Boardwalk Bakery. I was only brave enough to ask at a place that also served quick service 'meals'.
For our trip next month I am hoping I can try this somewhere that only serves snacks (Goofy's Candy Co, Karamel Kuche, Main Street Confectionary, etc). Are people having success at these places?

The only time I tried this, I tried to do it at a popcorn stand (i.e. two drinks and a popcorn) -- I was told I couldn't do it there..so maybe outside of Food and Wine at Epcot it can't be at a "food cart" type location?

We did this for Karamel Kuche. 1 QS credit for 3 caramel apples:-) We also did it at Goofy's Candy Co- 3 build your own rice crispy treats for 1 QS. We did this August 2015.

So does anyone know about doing this with TS credits?? We have the DxDP and will be there mid-May during F&G. We'd love to cancel our EPCOT sit-down dinner reservation & just eat the kitchens but wouldn't want the TS credits to go to waste. I would (LIKE) to assume that they'd be considered more "valuable" ... i.e. if 1QS=3SC then maybe 1TS=4SC ... get what I mean? Anyone with any insite would be a help!

We've done this a number of times. Towards the end of our trip I used 3 QS credits at the bakery on Main Street to purchase 6 caramel peanut apples and 3 pieces of English toffee. Voila - treats for family at home...and some for us too!

We are also doing a day of just outdoor kitchens at Epcot and then using the TS credit we would normally use that day on a 2 TS credit meal at Hollywood Brown Derby.

As I understand it, you cannot trade in TS credits for snacks.

DxDP are just credits, not necessarily TS or QS. It's a poor use of credits but since the credits are interchangeable, I'm sure it wouldn't be an issue. I once had a leftover TS credit for my child (regular dining plan, he wasn't hungry at dinner so shared with me) and I was able to convert his TS to a QS without a problem (or bonus, it was 1:1), so I'd guess for your DxDP credit, you'd still get just the 3 snack credits.

We did not try using the credits at the flower and garden festival. We were able to use at almost every other place we tried. Including most snack carts, Goodys candy company, AKL stores. Only one time, I was unable and that was at the new kiosk outside of Everest. They said they were too new and didn't have a dining plan button on their register.

We used them at popcorn carts. Two cokes and a popcorn or something like that.

Huh! Must be I had a CM that didn't know about it...the meal plan changes were pretty new when I was there. That's the exact thing I tried to order!

It's possible. Or we just picked the right carts. We had one CM that had a hard time making it work, so then she just gave us the snacks for free.

You should be able to do this, but you will only get 3 snacks. It is better than the credit going to waste, but it sure is a terrible value for that DxDDP credit that is "worth" about $33.
