trading points?

How does the whole trading points thing work? We just bought 250 Sarasota Springs and will not be closing until April, but my sis-in-law and I want to go to WDW in January. Is there a way I can trade points with another member so I can use their points sooner than I would be able to use my own?

I think you can make reservations in Dec but I don't think they are taking them until May (when the resort opens).

For your January - yes if you can find someone who will trade with you - but since you haven't got through closing there might not be alot of takers.

go advertise on the trade/rent board - see what happens

oh - the DVC member who agrees to this would make the reservations in your name - they can't tranfer points to you - because your account is not open???

You can't transfer in and out in the same use year. You could rent the points from another member or you could agree with another member to make certain reservations then return the favor for the other person.
