Trading Points Question

OK - I've read some of the past posts, but for anyone who has does this RECENTLY....

Can you trade points with another member in the same use year? What I mean by that is can I give some of my OKW points to another member and they give me some of their points at either HH or VB?

For what its worth, I know that this could be accomplished by each person making a reservation for the other, but I want to have full control of those points.

My take on this is that it is not possible (why...I have no idea because this would be a great perk....)

During any use year a member can only transfer one direction, either in or out.

As DisneyBill noted, you cannot transfer both directions in one use year. And since DVC isn't good at keeping up with the home resort of transferred points and must do it manually, you won't likely be able to make 11 months out or day by day reservations very easily. You're better off just trading reservations than points or renting from the other member.
