Trading Other Stuff For Pins

We just planned a last minute trip to WDW 9/26-30 for my DD's 9th birthday. This will be all three of my kiddos first trip to WDW. I just went in March and fell in love with pin trading and plan to get lanyards, etc. for my kids to try it as well. My question is this: we have some American Girl and other random stuff that we would like to possibly trade for pins, lanyards, etc. Where do I go on this board to do this and any advice on how to do this (if this is even possible) My DD has recently cleaned out her AG duplicates and I have some DVD's, books, etc. that I would love to trade so that we don't end up spending a fortune on pins they can trade while on vacation. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. THANKS! Brea

All Cast Members will only trade Disney pins for Disney pins. Chances are slim to none if you try to trade non Disney items with non Disney employees whatever the origin. In fact you might get a not so nice response from some of the more sharkier pin traders. Your best bet is to leave the non Disney Stuff at home and try to look for Disney pins in grab bag lots. I know a few sites to try (PM me for those) and there's always auction sites like Ebay you can look at.

I am so sorry...what I meant to ask is if there is a place on the disboards (or any other boards for that matter) to trade these non-Disney items to other members who may have extra pins and want my goodies?

Not that I'm aware of. Maybe you can sell the items and use the $ for pins?

Breagirl it is I who should be sorry. I didn't read your post well enough. I must have skimmed over the part where you said "Where do I go on this board to do this". Once again I do apologize and I hope I didn't come off as an all knowing pin snob. I'm sure someone on the boards can point you in the right direction.
