Trading into a DCV resort thru RCI

Thanks Dean. It's works on a rotating schedule. I basically get one week out of every month and am guaranteed the week of Christmas/new years every 4th year. So if I read your reply correctly I can combine two of my 13 weeks, bank them at least 271 days out and I should be able to trade into DVC. Is that for a one or two bedroom unit? Would it be possible to get Aulani in the summer or should I assume I will only be able to get Saratoga Spring or OKW. Thanks again.

What I looked at was a 1 BR sleep 6 (4 privately) which is the most RCI will give you credit for as a 1 BR on your end I'm pretty sure. As for whether than will get you to DVC, depends on the weeks in question. You're likely going to need a TPU in the high 30's to mid 40's to be successful, I'd plan on getting at least 46 to 48. That will likely mean 3 of your deposits and for some weeks, 4. On average you should get somewhere around a yearly TPU of XX if you deposit everything. You're likely best off using or renting the best weeks and depositing the rest combining them. There aren't any weeks right now but looking at the TPU based on depositing DVC, this should cover you except Xmas, NY's and easter.

I haven't followed deposits closely the last few months but I doubt DVC is depositing HI yet and likely won't until a year or more after the resort is completed and all online based on their past history. TPU will likely be more for HI than for WDW overall, I'd count on 56-59 for a 2 BR for the units that become available. OKW and SSR will have the most availability but all WDW resorts other than BLT are possible. Having 2 searches can help sort this out since you can cancel within 24 hours of the match without penalty.
