Trading in a Park Hopper??

We used 1 day and the only PLUS option off a 4 day Park hopper with 1 plus ticket that they used to sell---if we wanted to trade that in towards a MYW ticket......how will that work? How much will they credit us for the Park Hoppers?

We will be there for 6 nights... and plan to try to do parks for 3 of the days, water park one day and DisneyQuest another day...that would be paying another $70+ per person for those little park add ons now or $25 less per person if we can get MYW ticket...I am not sure they will give us enough credit on the PH to make it worth the savings though...since the per park day we paid was about $50 and for a 3 day MYW with hopping is about $72 per day--would they just give us 3 day PH MYW tickets which expire straight up in exchange for our 3 remaining PH tickets which never expire and let us add on the PLUSES? or would they give us some credit towards the MYW ticket that would make it better just to buy the PLUSSES?

The only way to find out the worth of the ticket is to take it to Guest Relations.

I can tell you that you'll have to put magic plus pack and non-expiration on your ticket. If you made use of your park hoping abilities, that'll have to go on the new ticket as well.

Generally, the value of your ticket will be the price you paid, divided by 4 times the number of days that are left. Your plusses have no value towards upgrading. But the only way to get the exact figure is by having Guest Relations scanning your ticket.

I had some 5 day passes I never had used from a cancelled trip, they credited me the cash value of the pass at time of purchase to upgrade to a 7 day hopper. e.g. paid $200 new pass $400 I owed them $200.

You need three park days, one waterpark visit, and one Disney Quest visit. A three day MYW ($182) with hopping ($37), plus pack yields two plusses ($48), non-expiration required for trade-up ($11.) costs $278.

If you said the old 4 day hopper cost you $50. per day or $200. total, the trade value with 3 days left is $150. So you pay an additional $128. which is more than separate water park and Disney Quest admission to go with the old hopper used as-is.
