Ok..am about to cross Chef Mickeys off the list for us. Me -32, DS will be 6...What is a better alternative for a TS dinner in its place? Thanks!

Im seriously thinking about taking Mickeys off the list because of ALL the bad reviews. We are going to CP for a breakfast though...

If you have never been there before and your family likes Mickey Minnie etc... I would still go. We were not overly thrilled with the food (but it was pretty good)but it was a lot of fun and the characters were great. It's just a really fun atmosphere.

There are other great character meals you could try if you don't want to go to CM's. Crystal Palace, LTT, 1900 Park Fair, and Cape May buffet just to name a few. But, if you've never been and you're basing your decision on some bad reviews I'd hope you'd reconsider. This is still one of the best character interactive dinners (if not the best) on property. No where else can you get this much up close and personal time with the Big Cheese himself and usually the rest of the Fab 5.

Everyone has different tastes when it comes to food. My family eats here every trip and we all think the food for the adults and kids is really good. We all love the dessert bar as well. We're not talking Victoria and Alberts here, but the food is not as bad as many have stated IMHO.

Good luck with your decision;)

We had a wonderful experience at Chef Mickey's and are heading back in December. Don't allow yourself to be swayed by bad reviews. Judge for youself. None of the "character meals" serve gourmet food but Chef Mickey's has been my favorite all around "character place" and the only one to which I'd return. I had a very bad experience at the much-loved Crystal Palace. So you see, NO PLACE is going to bat a 1000...

The atmosphere at Chef Mickey's is FUN, FUN, FUN! And the food is pretty good... Just my humble opinion.

Hi! I agree with those who say to still check it out.:goodvibes You can not beat the cast of characters and the food is simple but fine. We went in August. I reviewed it in my dining report along with DS8 if you want to check it out. It might help you with your decision.
