Some may consider it "beta" because it was retired after the beta testing ended. However, it was released in an in-game quest last April (as well as the Blue Rocket Couch and the ATIS pins). That means it was quite available, and officially taken off the "beta" list of furniture.

Please don't take my post the wrong way - I just want to educate others who have not been around long enough to know the difference.
