Trader Sam's - Why isn't anybody talking about it?

Im not sure, but am completely psyched about it! Maybe Tiki is just too cliche? We are going down in a couple of weeks and I admit being able to stumble up to our room after a couple (or one, tiki drinks tend to be STRONG at least where I am from!) is one of the reasons my fiance was convinced to stay at the hotel one night. I'll be sure to post a review and maybe some pictures! I just wish they had the drink prices up as they do with food!

According to the article everyone is talking about it...

One of the hottest stories right now in Disney enthusiast circles is the massive renovation that the Disneyland Hotel is undergoing in Anaheim, California. New tower designs with over-the-top lavishly-themed suites, an incredible new Monorail Pool and perhaps the most talked about new fixture of them all... Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar!

If you don't mind your bartender ringing a bell and yelling a lot when certain drinks are ordered, Trader Sam's is a lot of fun. It's basically the Jungle Cruise in a bar setting - but instead of wild animals, you've got drunk tourists.

I had a good time there.

I had the pleasure of going there every day of my trip last week. I loved it! It's my new favorite Disney bar, the drinks are good and strong The atmosphere is way to cool. I cannot wait to go back!

I love disneyland, have to preface this! So on my last trip with my two girlfriends, we found ourselves in trader sam's. After 2 sips of my "uh-oh-a", and laughing my *** off about something that I cannot tell you about {it's a secret of the bar!}, I told my girlfriends "this is my favorite thing at disneyland!!" I kid you not, i've never laughed so hard in my life!!

We just got back from DLH and really enjoyed Trader Sam's. They have good/unique appetizers in addition to the drinks. It is also very playful in there. The bartender kept squirting water at my 5 year old as we were walking through the bar area.

we loved it! Hawaiian music until 10. kids were welcome in the outside area. good drink. virgin ones for kids.

the above post mentioned a 5 year old in the bar. i did not know they were allowed inside. is that true?

I am flying into CA tomorrow and picking up my son who was just discharged from the Marines. 2 days at DL and I can't wait.
Now I know where I can take him to celebrate his getting out. We are going to Trader Sams the first night.
When we leave CA we have a long drive home in his car to CT.
