What’s the max number of people you’ve ever made for Trader Sams?

I need to make one for 7

Should I go for 7 or try first for 4 then for 3?

Any experience with making an ADR here for a larger group would be appreciated

Also with a larger group, would it default to outside seating? Or still a chance for indoor?

I would try for 4 and 3. In most DLR restaurants, it's almost impossible to make an online ADR for a larger group, but they will often consolidate your reservations when you get there. I've done this a few times, including TS's. We did end up outside because we all wanted to sit together. If you want indoor, I don't think there are any tables that hold that many but you could get 2 tables next to each other.

You would have to do 4 and 3 to be inside and you would be at 2 seperate tables, I don't think the website will do 7 people, in the past I've tried 5 and it wouldn't take the reservation but when I changed my number to 4 it took it
