Hi Ya'll!

I need to buy 32 trader pins (4 kids) before our trip but can't find any really good deals. Where should I look to find them under 2 dollars a pin?

Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.

Dave

For our last trip I bought ours at mousepinsonline.com they are good trading pins and the grab bags were less than $2 each if I remember correctly.

I have a GREAT tip !!! Go to the Disney outlet in St.Augustine. Then they have pins for 4$-1$ Great savings there ! i got a tink jacket there it WAS 49$ but was marked there for 7$ !!! :) Hope I could help !

I just sent off for 2 from Kellogg's. I know that's not much, but they are free (except for the cost of the cereal)

What exactly are trader pins? I got DH a card of Disney pins at the Disney store for Christmas to wear on his hat. Can he trade those?

I also agree with the above poster.. I was very pleased with my purchase at mousepinsonline.com They were super! very reasonable!

Thanks

I have gotten some on ebay where the seller had a group of 4 different pins.

Yes, those will be fine. Pins you get at the stores, in the parks, or from Disney some other way (or from Ebayers who have) are all officially tradable.

There are some lower-quality pins like the Spanish Sedesma pins that seem to be allowed sometimes and not allowed sometimes. Frankly, they're so awful (imho) that I'd steer clear - most traders won't take them and the CMs that have to don't seem to be happy about it.......

Watch for an Ebay seller with a lot of sales and good ratings. There are often lots that go up that average $3 a pin or so.

Just beware - pins are dang addicting!

What are the grab bags like with mousepinsonline I am looking to get 25 but wondering if they are good?
Anyone know?
THANKS!

My experience with pins from ebay are mixed. I bought 20 of the "2000 dancer" pins and it took my 2 kids all day to trade of them. Just about every CM has the pin. Some seemed very annoyed with the pin and refered to it as the "evil pin". Several of the CM's had it facing backward on their lanyard and really seemed to enjoy disappointing my kids by flipping it around like it was a FBI badge or something. My last batch were 50 mixed pins for $100 and my kids said there were some cast pins in the lot and actually ended up keeping alot of the "traders" I had bought.

Your last batch was it from Ebay or from Mousepinsonline?

We had problems/comments trading propins (mousepins) as well as the sedesma pins my daughter traded for last year. Some CM's were downright rude about them. Per ebay, even lanyard pins can be bought in "lots" for $4 a shot. I would go for good regular pins. JMO.

My last ones were from ebay as well. The sellers name is harval1. I just checked my history and it appears it was 40 pins for $100 not 50. I just did the buy it now thing instead of bidding. No duplicates and the pins were traded last weekend without problems.

I have bought many pins from harval1. He actually has good trader pins. I just came back in december and traded a bunch of pins from mousepinsonline. Most of the cm's looked to make sure that the disney logo was stamped on the back, which the pins did. Some of the cm's looked a little upset at the pin I was trading because they are small however I was able to trade every one. I would not hesitate to buy from either seller. Mousepinsonline are cheaper than harval1.

I had no problems trading pins I bought from mousepins.. I had one person look at it weird out of 50 pins.. but they all traded with my little 3 yr old.. most didn't care!

She had a ball and we plan to buy even more this time in May!

I don't understand why the castmembers would care too much about the pin you trade. They get the set-up free and aren't judged on their pins daily are they?

Anita - if everyone puts junk on the lanyards then all that is on the lanyards are junk. Not all CM's get their lanyards "refreshed."

I always put pins on lanyards that I would trade for.
