Trader Joe's - What's good?

Orange Chicken, Chocolate Cat Cookies, Peanut Butter, Dog Biscuits. Frozen chocolate covered bananas love those too.

a bit afraid to know: what does one do with cookie butter?

Same for me, I cook from scratch so there's really nothing for me there.

As for the few snack items I buy, I won't buy them from Trader Joes because if how they handle GMOs. They claim they aren't using them but refuse to have a third party verify that claim.

I cook a lot from scratch and there is plenty there for me! Where do you shop?

I shop at Whole Foods - their meats and produce are so much better than Trader Joes. I only buy organic chicken and pork and beef has to be grass fed (so we get more omega 3's).

And while it's running I buy veggies from our local farmer's market.

Honestly was not impressed by what they had. But I am one who cooks everything and do not eat prepacked or processed foods. Only thing that really caught my eye was the good price they had on Kerrygold butter. It is grass fed and only butter we use. Whole Foods and Earth Fare to me are the better stores but that is jmo

I love their Bar None (I believe that's what they are called) Dark Chocolate Ice Cream bars. This is TJ's brand. VERY good.

I make a run to Trader Joe's just about every week. My must haves each time I go are:
Tuscan white bean hummus (the BEST hummus EVER)
Trader Joe's pita crackers baked with sea salt
Pinnachios...yummy cookies
dark chocolate mint creams

My kids love their French lemonades. They are in big bottles, regular lemonade and a berry lemonade, and they love the Gummy Tummys (penguin gummy candy).

I was reading over the posts to see what others like, I will have to try the chimichurri rice, that sounds good. :)

We just bought pumpkin pancake mix the last time we went, had them the other day and they were great.

There is a TJs on my way home from work so very convenient for me to pop in when we need one or two things, or a bottle of wine. But what I mostly like there are treats--great ice cream and frozen treats, cookies, you-name-it-dipped-in-chocolate. I also like the dumplings/potstickers in the frozen section and they have a bottled gyoza sauce. And $2.99 wine!

I don't shop there for the purpose of buying healthy stuff!

Someone told the me Orange Chicken from TJs is as good as the Orange Chicken from the Lotus BLossom Cafe in Epcot China. True or not?

I don't buy a lot of the prepackaged foods because I'm more of a "made from scratch" kinda girl. But I do love love love there health and beauty products. Honey is a really good deal, aloe vera gel and things like that is what I get from there...and you can't forget the WINE. Cheap but good lol

Yes, I also buy WF meat and fish, it is excellent. I agree their produce is better as well. But sometimes WF produce can get ridiculously expensive. I shop at WF and TJ every week and make an occassional Costco run. I cant stand "regular" grocery stores, they smell like artificial ingredients! My wallet likes TJ the best. They have a nice organic dairy section.

The orange chicken is delicious! I usually serve it with TJ's vegetable fried rice (also frozen).

There is so much good there and the meat is free of antibiotics and icky things. I love to cook from scratch but work full time and like that we can have a few staples and sauces that are much healthier than most packaged items on hand. Love that place so much. Prices are fine. The nouvella wine is great.

FRENCH ONION DIP.......this is the best and only one I buy

Naan bread that I use to scoop up the onion dip

gnocchi in a frozen package...i like it as a quick side

in the ready to go section I sometimes buy a couple of entrees that can be lunch at work for a couple of days - butter chicken, etc

wine and beer and various drinks

I use Charles Shaw Chardonnay for cooking, it is wonderful! (for 2.99, I can't even get cooking wine at our local grocery store) :)Chocolatey Cat Cookies for People are great! Love the nut butters, low sodium soups, love too many snack items to list! frozen artichoke dip, yum!! yum!! Only wish we had one closer!!! Can't wait to try those chocolate croissants!:drive:
