Trader Joe's - What's good?

We love TJs!

They have the best prices I've found in my area for:
Cereal (ex-Joe O's, comparable to Cheerios are $2 for a giant box)
Milk
Frozen Berries
Honey
Balsamic Vinegar
EVOO

Other goodies:
Harvest Grain Rice Medley
Spinach Tortellinni
Honey Wheat Pretzels
Frozen Edammame
Hummus
Island Soyaki Marinade
Mariniated Artichoke Hearts
Dog Treats
Panko Bread Crumbs

CHEESE!!!

Seriously, they have an excellent selection of specialty cheeses, and the prices are unbelievable. I usually get at least 2 packs of the TJ double cream brie, and its like $5.99#, the best deal my local grocer has on the lower grade of Brie is usually around $9 a pound. Its like a gourmet cheese shoppe with rock bottom prices. I also LOVE the cheese and green chile tamales, keep several packs in the freezer for a quick meal, better than anything our local Mexican restaurant serves up. I second the votes for the pinnachio (sp?) cookies, I eat a few and make my husband hide them, I seriously could make myself sick on those, they are addictive. I have a friend who is a big ginger fan and I always pick her up the Ginger Cat Cookies or the extra ginger cookies. Also love the strawberry lemonade, and the sparkling pomengranite or blueberry juices. The Jalapeno Cheetos type snacks with real white cheddar cheese. The sunflower seeds are better than I have found anywhere, great toasted flavor and only $1.99#, the selection of trail mixes, I don't like raisins, but got hooked on one with chocolate and dried raspberries. Wow, I could go on forever, have never picked up something I didn't like.

Things we love include:
Frozen pork potstickers (DBF loves these for a quick dinner)
Milk
Cheese
Premade smoothies
Low fat greek yogurt
Chips-- blue corn & their brand of popchips
Frozen appetizers for parties or unhealthy weekends-- mac and cheese bites, arancini, parmesan pastry puffs
Frozen pasta-- especially farafelle with spinach in cream sauce. Yum! The less guilty mac and cheese are also great.
Dips-- especially bacon cheddar
Cookie butter
Any and all produce-- LOVE that they've had spaghetti squash lately!!
I personally love their meat-- their organic, hormone free chicken is the best I've ever purchased from . And they always have 96/4% ground beef, which is awesome.
As an OP said, their bread does tend to mold quickly, so I don't buy that anymore.

We generally don't buy their fresh fruit- never good. I have also not liked the organic boneless chicken- very tough. Don't like the organic milk either- no taste!

But we love:
hand ( pump) soap , oatmeal soap ( great price)
organic pickles in a jar-so so good
already cooked lentils ( great lunch with salsa and a raw veggie mixed in)
already trimmed leeks
cheesy corn puffy snack
apple cinnamon instant oatmeal
frozen apple blossoms
granola bars ( although we brought 4 boxes on our last dis trip for breakfasts and got tired of them!)
jarred peaches
pure maple syrup-good price
evoo-same
greek yogurt-honey is yummy and I'm not a yogurt lover
crate of fresh peaches-un believable!
corn salsa. Get two.
old fashioned potato chips
frozen foursome ( 4 organic mixed veggies)
jo's o's ( like cheerios)
pecan cereal
organic sweet corn-frozen
butter cookies ( flat, waffly )
ginger mints ( dis!)
dish soap ( purple-smealls great and its mild)
frozen mac n cheese- we combine one lowfat and one reg when we eat it
cheap, good lunch bags- individual and large for the beach

We make it a point to try one new thing each visit. The flyers are very helpful, imo.

Strawberry mochi. Green olive tapenade. Challah bread. Pumpkin anything.
Wine. Many delicious wines to be had very inexpensively. My favorite is the Benefactor Cellars brand.
