Trader Joe's grocery store

Sounds good, but do you get the male or female ones? :rotfl2:
Opps that was a real big typo, I hadn't even realized that was me.

Ginger Clinato noodles. I don't even know how I managed to get those letter in. My fingers must of been on the wrong keys. :teeth:

:rotfl2: I do that all the time--type a totally different word that what I meant to type. I do the regular typos, too. But I call them tyros, because one time my sister was typing the word "typo", but she made a typo with that word and wrote "tyro", so they are now tyros to us, usually proceeded by the version of darn that would get starred out on the DIS. :teeth:

You know the next time I go to Trader Joes I'm going to have to go looking for those "gender noodles". I forgot, are they in the frozen food section, deli, or somewhere else?

I miss my Trader Joes. I love to go there for spices and baking items - chocolate chips and bulk chocolate. They have a great Tahitian vanilla extract, too.

Another item I really like is their smokey bean dip. Yum. I could just stick my finger in the jar and eat the whole thing. :goodvibes

Ours are right by the door as you come in, refridge section, near the sushi and dips and premade sandwiches. They are very yummy. (and no dairy!) :cheer2:

Thanks--I'll look for them if I go tomorrow. If I do go, my DH will be with me and that gets expensive. He shops like we don't have any food at home. :teeth:

I didn't want to have to ask someone about the noodles because I know darn well I will say gender instead of ginger. :rotfl2:

Just got back a few hours ago from TJ's! We do as much 'regular' shopping there each week as we can. They have excellent prices on milk, butter, cream and other dairy products. Our favorite though is the make your own pizza. Get the TJ's pizza dough & their YUMMY sauce, bag of 4 cheese mix, sliced olives & pepperoni and you have a great dinner for about $11.

I also love their version of frosted mini wheats, their french style green beans (frozen) and I second the PP who likes the mandarin orange chicken.

Be careful though - I find I always come back with way more than was on my list - lots of impulse buying there, esp at this time of year.

We have a Trader Joes in our neighborhood too. I never shopped there cause it is located on one of the busiest streets in our town and I avoid that street as much as I can. Heard it was a nice place to shop at though.

I love Trader Joes! We used to go there all the time when we lived in CA and Nh. They don't have one here :(

I loved their various sauces, salsas and things like that. I also really liked a lot of their frozen things.

That two buck chuck was nasty, though. Ick....

I have that problem. I feel like I am in a constant state of buying banannas in my house. I go in for Banannas and one other thing and come out with 3 bags and 45$ later. Those are some pricey banannas!

I think they have the same supllier as cost co. They have some simlar things. However at TJ it cost like $3 for something and if you don't like it, it isn't too big of a loss. At cost co it is $10 to $15 and you are stuck with a lot you don't like. ;)

Come to think of it, it is very rare to find something I don't like there. So far the only thing was the cashew butter. Not very favorfull. Won't do that again.

I love their Mandarin Orange Chicken over their Jasmine Rice that comes frozen in microwave ready packs.

We went to TJ's this morning. I knew it was a dangerous place to go to with my DH, but we managed to get out for a little more than $50.

I bought one of the cardboard cat scratching pads, which looks real nice. And, as I told PhD in another thread, I bought the male gender noodles. ;) My boys even liked it and my 6yo cried when he thought his dad was finishing it. I'll buy it next time when my kids are at school so I'll get some. :teeth:
