What do you favor from Trader Joe's?
Oh, and you know to stock up--'cause stuff tends to disappear--like the banana crisps *poof* gone.

Pumpkin Butter
Candy-Cane Joe-Joe's
Banana Crisps
Granola Blends
Gabillion varieties of cheese (yummm, cheeeese)

I just saw a sign up at an old, closed grocery store near my house. They are turning it into a Trader Joe's. I have never been in a TJ store before. What is it? What do they sell?

I love their pumpkin butter. Wish I had picked up more. The closest TJ's is 2 1/2 hours away, though!

They are a kitchy grocery store that sells a variety of unique items (many) for a lesser price. Most items are well known brands but labeled with the trader joe's name.

I love going there for the huge variety of reasonably priced organic and whole food items--many with natural sugars and without hydrogenated oils and such--the stuff there is pretty good--when it opens, give 'em a whirl :thumbsup2

OOOHHH! This sounds great!!!! Thanks so much!!!!
I love to buy organic when I can. I will definitely give this place a visit!!!!!!

The Peppermint Bark in the tin container for $9.99. Very good and a great gift for an office gift exchange.

Too much to name..but I've stockpiled their pumpkin bread mix. ;)

I love, love, love their Grade A Light Amber maple syrup. Too bad they stopped selling it last year. But because I stocked up, I still have some on hand. :thumbsup2

We usually buy coffee for DW, salsa, frozen asparagus (for when you can't get good fresh asparagus), oatmeal, raw almonds, and peanuts there every time we go. Used to get Ghirardelli chocolate there, too, but they stopped carrying that too. :sad2:

My aunt is getting me some Charles Shaw merlot (a case!)- 2 buck Chuck! I'm looking forward to the Cary store opening.

I buy a lot from TJs:

Bagged Salad mix
TJ brand frozen waffles, scallops, cioppino (yum, this is THE best thing they sell imo), french onion soup, olive oil.
Triple gingerbread cookies in the tub
Sparking pomegranate juice
Old Moon Zinfandel (TJs brand)
Basket of clementines
Pumpkin butter
Trader Ming's noodles
Chocolate (for eating and baking)
Pretzel bread

And a bunch of other stuff I find new everytime I go in there. :)

I love the honey and sesame seed covered almonds. Yum!

I had recently picked up a chocolate cake from there. I wish I remember what it was called. It was very moist and really tasty.

Ours still carried the Ghirardelli chocolate a month ago. I hope they still have some because I'm running low!

:moped: <------Here's Beth racing over to TJs to get some pumpkin butter. :rotfl: I've never heard of that, but I'll have to try that. I just love thier cookies. The chocolate sandwich with peanut butter, to die for! I also love the Pinachio cookies. And yes, we love their cheeses too. There are so many great things at TJs

Oooh, I'm so jealous! I had to pay $2 for a candy bar sized portion at the grocery store a few days ago. I'd love to get those huge broken-off chunks. But my local TJ's hasn't carried it in over a year. Maybe no one in my area knows what good chocolate is, so it doesn't sell! :confused3

their frozen shrimp are great, we usually have some in the freezer. I like the ethnic frozen dinners, especially the Indian food. and the garlic crackle. and salsa. and...

I guuess I have to do a TJ run tonight...

They get chocolate covered cherries from Hungary for the holidays. I swear you can get a buzz off of them, and they are so good!

They have great pita chips and hummus, although the cilantro/jalapeno had too much cilantro for my taste.

The one by my office didn't have the sesame sticks though - hopefully the one by the house does.

They have the best vacuum sealed frozen fish.

I missed Trader Joes - they didn't have them in Austin but I have them here now!!!!!

Kona Coffee
The macademia nut popcorn
pita chips
pretzel chips
french onion soup

I just love going and trying new things.

What are candy-cane Joe-joe's?

There are a few Trader Joes opening now in this area. We went to one several months back to check it out. I saw it and pointed it out to DH and said we should go in. He didn't even know what it was and I had to say, "I heard about it on DIS boards." He just rolled his eyes at me! :rotfl:

Chocolate covered cranberries were awesome, also.

And the pita chips! I limit my crowd. They would go thru them in a couple of days given half a chance!

I LOVE Trader Joes! There's far too much to mention all of my favorites, but here are a few...

To the poster wanting to know what Joe Joes are: They're sandwich cookies (like Oreos, but they have no trans fat, and no hydrogenated oils). The Candy Cane ones are chocolate cookies with cany cane pieces in the creme center! :thumbsup2

I like the regular Oreo-style Joe Joes too! YUMMY! :thumbsup2

And I LOVE the variety of cheeses and hummus!

AND I just finished off my first bag of Trader Joes Unburied Treasure! I am addicted! It's a white cheddar flavored puffed corn snack. (I'm told it's like the healthier version of "Pirate's Booty", but I've never had that, so I don't know! :confused3 ) All I know is that I am going to have to get more!
