Trade/Transfer?

I did a couple quick google and board searches and really coulnd't find the answer. I apologize if it's a lame question.

We currently own ** pts, but always want to stay at **. The 7 month booking window does not seem to really cut it. I figure someone out there also wants to stay at * or whatever and also feels they can't get in when they'd like. My questioon is, how do we go about making it work for both parties involved. Do you just transfer pts to eachother and they still have their home resort "tag" attached to them? Or do you have to actually book something for someone, therefore there's more of a trust issue. Thanks

hard to do. you only get one transfer per year, either in or out. so if you transfer BLT pts out, you've used up your yearly transfer and can't transfer anything in.

you might be able to transfer your current UY pts and have the other member transfer pts from their next UY into your account, but it really is a bit complicated.

best to rent or transfer your pts to another member to get cash, and then rent at 11 months out from a * owner for cash. cash is a wonderful bartering tool.

If you are planning on doing this alot in the future.

You could buy a very small contract and use that as a staging area.

I prefer point transfers it gives me peace of mind.

BTW, if you transfer pts in or out, they do maintain their original home resort priority.
