tracing your own threads

is there a way when you go to the board to find threads you've written or posted too without searching. Sometimes I'll post a thread, go away and come back and it's pages down. I'd like to see the replies. I keep entering things in search to find it.

I think there must be a better way, but I find one of my posts and click on my user name, then 'find more post by___"

All I do is look at one post I posted, click on my username, then click on "More posts by"....

Another way is to go to your profile and click on "See all threads started by..."

there are two ways. One is to click on "Search" then "Advanced search" and search for posts by your user name. The other way (which I prefer) is to click on your user name from within a thread you've posted on and select "Find more posts by XXXXXXX". The second method is more chronological than the first.

Personally I find it's easier to just click on User CP and view all subscribed threads.

I search by my username if I want to see where some threads have gone. Clicking on your username is good if you were just here and posted but sometimes there is a day or two where I don't post at all so I can't readily find something I posted to click my username for "more posts".

I don't usually subscribe to threads so that won't work for me.

If you've created or posted in a thread - it's automatically added to your subscribed thread list.

I went to the user cp and looked up subscribed threads. Yep I guess almost every thread I've posted to was there. But the thread I posted yesterday was not there. I wonder why?

No, it's not automatically subscribed because I don't have that option set. If you go to options, you can choose to subscribe to all your posted threads or even choose to get email notifications when a thread is replied to. I have that turned off. The last subscribed thread in my list is from 2001 which was probably before I knew how to turn that feature off.
