I have had a Tracfone for years with the same number, recently while trying to change phones they "lost" my number and said it was no longer available. So I got a new #. Two weeks ago the phone stopped working and they sent me a new SIM card, now they tell me that the number is no longer available again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Has this happened to anyone before?

When I get crazy responses that make no sence I generally hang up and call getting hoping to get another agent or ask for a supervisor.

I did have a phone that the person screwed up how they took the minutes off and deactivated the old phone to transfer to the new one. We ended up with a none working new phone, BUT the old phone no. was still ringing on the old phone. New sim card, no phone for 10 days.

That is why now I ask a lot of questions and make sure. If they have to put you on hold to find out a response...they do not know how to do it right. THe ones that explain back to you exactly what you want, repeat what steps they are going to take, are fine.

Only once did I have that aggrivating headache of ready to send it back....
