TPAS2 Alumni and friends thread

Wow, I could never do it!!!!
Anything more then a couple of hours of driving freaks me out. I couldn't even stand the drive to the cape.
I am sooooo jealous of your free dining, where do you have ADR's for???

It's more like what don't I have ADR's for! :lmao:

Let's see....Breakfasts we're hitting the Grand Floridian Cafe for the Mary Poppin's breakfast, we are also going to Epcot for the Princess Storybook Breakfast, and Ohana's for breakfast. Dinners are Cap't Jacks, CRT, Tony's and Liberty Tree Tavern....and the day we arrive we'll probably go to Earl of Sandwich in DTD before we collapse! :)

We are also planning on going to Universal one day, so if I have my way, we'll be going to go Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville Resturant.....because I'm going to need my Buffett fix by then! :rotfl2:

Anything else, will more than likely be counter service at the hotel.

Wow you have a lot of breakfasts planned!!!! We aren't big breakfast fans so we usually only do one sit down per trip.
CRT, I have wanted to do that for some time. You will have to let me know how it is.
We went to Margaritaville last year, we are not big Buffett fans but we got a CD so my boys would know some of the music. We had a great time!

We normally don't really do breakfasts either, but I scheduled it so we are either doing a big breakfast or a big dinner...nothing on the same day though!
My daughter has wanted to eat at the castle for the past couple years, but we could never get ADR's for any time when we were there. So I jumped on it this time and booked my ADR as soon as free dining was announced.

I'm a HUGE parrothead! I'm going to his concert at Foxboro the week before we leave! :woohoo:

Oh very cool!!!!

I'm definately looking forward to it, should be great at Gillette! If it's anything like the Fenway show, it should be another great Buffett bash! :woohoo:

So do you have anymore vacations planned for this summer, or was the Cape vacation it for the summer?

That was pretty much it. Though we have a few fun day trips planned, but nothing too special.
The reason we were going to skip the free dining this year was because we usually go in the fall for cooler weather. Later on we figured out we could have gone and just kind of taken it easy. Spend a little more time doing indoor activities like Innoventions (which we always seem to skip) and touring World Showcase. If only we had thought of it sooner!!:rolleyes1 Oh well!!!!!

We're pretty much done for the summer too! If anything, I told my daughter we'd do a couple day trips up to York or Hampton. She doesn't know about the Disney trip! We gave her the option last year of a pool in the backyard or Disney...she chose the pool! We're surprising her with the Disney trip because last year my husband and I went to Disney as a very belated honeymoon without her (we also had to drive his grandmothers furniture down to Florida, because she moved from MA to FL, so we side tripped to Disney) but we went to MNSSHP and loved it, our daughter saw all the pictures and said she wanted to go too...but couldn't because she asked for the pool instead! So this will be a big surprise for her! We've been 3 times in the last 2 years and have yet done the World Showcase! Maybe this time we'll get to see it! :thumbsup2

She is going to be thrilled.
Our 1st. trip to WDW was a surprise for both my boys. We told them we were going on a Cruise alone (though we never have gone anywhere alone, ever:scared: ) and they were going to stay with my inlaws. They all came to drop us at the airport, after saying all our goodbyes my DH and I started walking away. I turned around and said "oh I almost forgot I have a little something for you guys before we leave". I pulled out two gift bags, when the opened them on top was shirts I had ordered that said Cruz Family Vacation Walt Disney World 2003. At the same time my hubby and I took off our jackets and were wearing the same shirt. They were so confused, my older son said "We are going to WDW, when?" We replied NOW!!!! They sat there shocked for a while then it finally set in and they were just thrilled. Honestly it was one of the best moments of my life. Not only were we able to bring our boys to WDW but we gave them the surprise of their lives. After that trip we were hooked!

Oh that must have been awesome!

I'm hoping for the same reaction out of my daughter! We're leaving on a Friday night...so we plan on telling her that we're going out to eat, the car will be packed while she's at school, and then once we're on the road tell her we're heading for Disney!

You should tell her in some kind of cool way. Maybe a word puzzle thats final answer reads we are going to Disney. I have heard of people putting it in a fortune cookie. If you have a camcorder you and your DH can make a video that ends with a sign We are going to Disney. Just some ideas, I love a good surprise!

I did win an Enchanted Phone Call from a Disney website. I was thinking of scheduling the call to come into her shortly before we walked out the door...and having one of the Disney characters tell her they couldn't wait to see her the following day!

That is an awesome idea. Could you have them call a cell phone? This way she could call her on the way.

I never thought of having them call into my cell phone...that's a great idea! :thumbsup2 Hopefully it doesn't have to come through a land line!

I hope it works out for you!

Where is everyone else at????

Me too!

I know, where is everyone???????:confused3

There really hasn't been anyone on this board since the day I spit soda all over my monitor because you were a gang banging drug dealer, and I was a cow tipping in-breed! :rotfl2:

Where's T & B....Hello......is anyone out there?????????????:scared:

Maybe we scared them away!!:confused3

PS - wic, check my previous post I added something.

You didn't see it!!!! OMG you have got to, it was soooo good!!!!

No, I haven't seen it yet! My husband and I had a big party over our house Saturday with friends, so his mom took our daughter to see it...otherwise I would have brought her to see it this weekend!

My daughter loved it, MIL said it was "OK"...but she's not really into cartoon movies all that much! Guess I'll have to wait for it to either come out on ON DEMAND or wait for the DVD release.

We loved it but that my of had something to do with us being real foodies! My 14 year old says that is his new favorite Disney movie. But then again his favorite birthday gift last year was a set of Williams Sonoma dipping oil.
