TPA Car Rental with maybe MCO Dropoff

I've done some quick checks lately and found the prices for picking up a rental car at Tampa Airport and dropping off at Orlando Airport to be very high. In the past, I never found this to be the case.

I'm looking at prices for September-2011. Has anyone found the prices at Tampa to be comparible to the prices at Orlando Airport lately? What about doing a Tampa pick-up and Orlando drop-off? I plan to do some more research this evening; my best flight option is to fly to Tampa and return out of Orlando.

This is not from recent experience so it may not be that helpful. One time we did fly into TPA, rented a car there (through Budget if I remember correctly), then dropped it off and flew out of MCO. We got a one-way rental discount which really made the rental price worth it. Not sure if they even offer those anymore as this was several years ago.
