TP Forecasted Wait Times

How accurate are they? We're going August 21-26, and all the wait times forecasted on Touring Plans are very manageable. To us at least. We're used to Spring Break/Easter type crowds. For Tuesday 8/22, the longest wait time listed is 7DMT at 78 minutes. We have a FP, but 78 minutes is not too bad compared to our last trip. In your experience, how close are these forecasts?

I was there two weeks ago and they were pretty close. We set our walking pace as slow to build in a cushion and we consistently ran ahead of schedule most days. I think the biggest margin of error is rope drop waiting times because TP has no way of knowing if you arrive 5 minutes before park opening or 2 hours before. We usually got there 30-45 minutes before and found the lines to be shorter on the first couple of rides.

It was a great resource and helped our trip tremendously!

Yep, their rope drop numbers are really high.

I agree that with the exception of RD, estimated wait times are fairly accurate. They are based on huge gatherings of real time data.

They're usually within 10 minutes. They will adjust them day of as Disney posts their times and users time their actual waits (remember to do this as it seriously helps the data a ton).

I've used it for 10+ trips. I agree with the previous posters. Great estimates except for the very early morning. I almost never have to cut steps out of my plans.
