Toystoryduo’s Journal: Baby Steps are the Key... Celebrate Each Victory!

Hi Tracy
glad your starting to feel better
I hope DH gets the job sorted & keeps the contract - it must be very frustrating!
Congrats on DD losing that tooth :)

Hi, Tracy! I am so out of the loop with my WISH journal buddies, but just caught up on your journal. WOW! You have so much going on in your life, any one thing of which would stress out any normal person. ;) I don't know how you juggle it all, sweetie, but I think you are absolutely a miracle! First of all, I am so sorry for all the very sad medical news you have received. How is DH's grandmother doing? I hope she is better. Oh, so sad about Jennifer. The poor girl has so much to cope with and I'd bet her biggest worry is for the well-being of her children. Keeping her and your DH's grandmother and Mike in my prayers.

As for your fitness efforts. I cannot believe you even used the words "only" and "400 minutes" in the same sentence! How awesome that you carved out those fitness minutes with all of your responsibilities to your family and the quality time you share with them. 400 minutes is pretty darn awesome, chickie, so give yourself some credit! :thumbsup2

Love that your DD did so well with her tooth money. She is a thrifty shopper like her mom. How cool that they are both learning to save for WDW and for other things they want. LOVE the idea of a garage sale and their efforts. I know it will be a lot of work for you, though, so don't wear yourself out!

Sending you and your family huge hugs :hug: and loads of pixiedust: !

Hi Tracy,

I am so glad you are feeling better, great job getting to the gym. I will keep your dh in my prayers, that really stinks this guy is doing this to him. Some people! Great news on dd's tooth, I think both my kids were also five when they lost their first tooth!

Hope the weekend weather cooperated for a walk or two, my exercise minutes aren't as much as I would like for this month either, hopefully the next 11 days will see us able to move more!

Hi Tracy,

I will pray for your family. Please keep us posted. As for DH's gm being confused, she was dehydrated which can cause severe confusion in the elderly. Also, if she spent any time on the floor, her muscles were breaking down,and that is flushed trhough the kidney. Rehydration and time may reverse her kidney funtion. :hug: to all of you.

This time of year is so incredibly busy that we are all struggling to get our exercise in. Just keep at it.

:hug:
Beth

Thank you so very much ladies! :grouphug: I so appreciate the love, encouragement, and support that you give me. Thank you very, very much!:grouphug:

I only have a couple of minutes to post....We went to the gym this morning and a friend of mine from high school was there. She treated me as if I was invisible. I know she knows who I am. I've gained weight, but I still look the same. So, the whole time I am working out, I berate myself about the weight I have gained and how I must look. I felt like I was back in high school again except I was the fat kid that no one wanted to talk to. :sad1:

I did get a good workout in....30 on the elliptical, 30 on the treadmill, and 10 on upper body and 10 on lower body.

My DH's grandma is in a nursing home for rehabilitation. None of us really know what her exact diagnosis is because there is a lot of family drama going on at the moment and my DH's cousin (who is supposedly in charge of his grandma's well being) is only concerned about a will and the financial aspect of the situation. It's very sad.:sad1: Please send prayers grandma's way.

Today's Plan:

* Homeschooling

* CVS

* Walgreens

* Library

* Work for DH

That's about all from here....I will try and get back to journals later on today. Have a great day!:grouphug:

Hi Tracy,

:hug: Don't let the cow at the gym get at you. There is a song by Sugarland called Mean Girls. It applies here. They never change. Don't let her get the upper hand by allowing her to upset her. OTOH, she may have been embarrassed by her own weight or the fact that she couldn't remember your name. :hug: You are doing a great job at trying to get healthy. You are a great mom and wife, and I would love to hang out with you.

I hope everything workout with DGM. These situations often bring out the worst in people. You are all in my prayers.

Take care,
Beth

Ahh family drama at a time when everyone should just be pulling together. Can I relate to that. It really stinks and is just the last thing you all need to be dealing with. Some people.:sad2:

I agree with Beth, this female dog from high school is probably got some issues of her own. I have this happen sometimes too, it always unsettles me. Women can be meaner than teenagers sometimes.

I am proud of those workouts you are getting in. That gym membership has been a Godsend for you. I am super proud of how hard you are working!

I'll ride Spaceship Earth for you. If you feel a happy vibe, its me on SE!

Hi, Tracy. Don't let the ex-acquaintance at the gym get you down. After all, she has to live with herself and her crappy attitude. Even if she is a perfect 10 (which I'm sure she isn't), it is obvious she isn't a beautiful person by the fact that she is treating someone as lovely as you so poorly. Just remember that you are loved for who you are, and the people who love you will love you no matter what your weight is. The people that focus on what you look like don't matter - not at all. One day their looks will change in one way or another and all the nastiness they have dealt out to others will come back to them ten-fold!

Sorry to hear about your DH's grandmother and the family drama. Maybe once she has the appropriate medical attention, she will improve and things will settle down.

Keep doing the exercise thing, girl - you are an inspiration!

Hope you have a good one!

Susan

Thanks Beth, Amy, and Susan!:grouphug: I really appreciate your words of encouragement and support. :grouphug:

There's not much going on here today. I need to start working on DD7's homeschool evaluation portfolio. We'll also be homeschooling, doing laundry, and maybe getting a walk in later if the weather cooperates.

I looked at my ticker in my signature today and our trip looks so far away....I can't wait to go back to WDW!:banana:

Hope everyone has a great day today!:goodvibes

Hang in there, Tracy! Praying for all the situations you're handling! Don't let the gym jerk get you down! You are doing WONDERFUL things for YOU!!! That is what counts!!

Tracy -- That woman probably ignored you because she had nothing good to tell you about herself and her life. Think about it. Don't you think if she is all that and her life is hunky dorey she'd have come over and said something snarky and then taken the opportunity to brag about herself and her life and "all that"? (okay, I'm being mean, but NO ONE makes my friends feel bad about themselves!) I hope I made you smile. Tracy, you are an amazing woman and an incredibly awesome wife and mom. Remember that. No one can change that. And you are only accountable to God. Her opinion means nothing (okay, I know, along those same lines, my opinion should mean nothing, too, but I "KNOW" you, so I can fairly and objectively say "you ROCK!" :hug:

HI Tracy! I'm so sorry to hear about DH's job situtation and also about Dgrand-ma! I hope things are improving for both!!!

Try not to let it bother you too much about the lady at the gym...high-school chick. Just know that you are a good mom and wife and you are trying to better yourself and get healthier. :thumbsup2

I hope you enjoy your weekend!!! It's supposed to be pretty weather --here at least...I hope so for you too!

Stacie

Thanks Julie, Cam, and Stacie.:grouphug:

I just realized that our trip is 3 weeks and 3 days away until celebrating my 33rd birthday with the mouse!:banana: Very excited!:woohoo:

The past 24 hours have been rough. :( My DH's grandma is back in the hospital with possible congestive heart failure. :( And of course, the family drama surrounding the estate is escalating as well. Don't people realize that she needs TLC and not bickering or arguing about who will get what and when?:confused3 Please send prayers for my DH's family and cousins too....

We have a very busy weekend ahead:

Saturday: DH has to work in the morning. He'll come home and get ready to DJ. I'll drop him off at his buddy's house. The girls and I may go shopping for Father's Day.

Sunday: Church, birthday party, drop DH off at his buddy's house to deejay again (yes, a wedding on Sunday!:eek: ), and may have to pick him up. My niece is tenatively scheduled to sleepover.

Monday: Memorial Day parade, cookout

I will need a vacation from my weekend when it's over. ;)

This morning, I went to the gym and get this....I did 60 minutes on the elliptical!!!:banana: I was in a groove and actually got that exercise "high" that I have heard so much about. :cloud9: Of course, the only reason I worked out that long was to combat my horrible food choices from yesterday.:lmao: I may not be able to walk tomorrow, but I did burn 671 calories!:banana:

I hope everyone has a safe, fun, and relaxing Memorial Day weekend!:grouphug: July 4th will be here before we know it!:eek:

Thank you, sweetie! you are one of the people here who makes me a better person. That is a remarkable gift. I don't want you to discount what you bring to the lives of others. :hug:

Oh, and SIXTY MINUTES on the elliptical!?!?!??!? :worship: That is so awesome!! Oh, hon, I fear you may be sore tomorrow. If you can, you should sit in a cool bath for 20 minutes or so. It will help SOO much!

Oh Cam,:hug:

Thank you so much! I needed to hear some words of encouragement in a big way today. Thank you so much for blessing my heart.:hug:

Good afternoon friends,

This has been a long weekend so far. :( There's been a lot of stuff going on and some family drama to boot. I'm really tired and discouraged at the moment.:guilty: I've been doing a lot of emotional eating and I feel horrible about it. I've been eating BBQ chips and potato salad like it's going out of style. I did have a couple of salads and some watermelon too so it's not a total loss. ;)

A little good news....After my DH deejays today, we'll have the money to pay off the package portion of our September trip!:banana: All we'll have left is the car rental ($158) and gas for the car ($300-$350) and we'll be all set. It would have been paid off sooner, but we're also paying off our December trip at the same time.:goodvibes

As far as plans for tomorrow go, we will be going to the Memorial Day parade in our town and then we'll probably relax the rest of the day....Even though it's a short work week ahead, it will be a long week ahead work wise....Does that make sense? :confused3

I hope everyone is having a safe, fun, and relaxing Memorial Day weekend.:grouphug:

Hang in there girl, you can do it. You are strong so pick yourself up and don't let anything consume you.

Drama, isn't it fun? Especially family drama. I have some of my own, so really I need to follow my own advice. It is heart wrenching really, and has happened before, so really I shouldn't be so surprised. It stings just the same though. You and I can both get through this, one step at a time.

Good for you guys that you are making headway on your trips. That is always a good feeling.

Hang in there and enjoy your family tomorrow. Spending time with your family and seeing them happy is what life is all about, the important part anyway, and that is all that really matters in the end. Take care.:hug:

Thanks wilderness!:hug:

Good morning friends,

It's been a long weekend here and I woke up pretty tired this morning. :faint: I'm not sure how much will get done today, but I plan on taking baby steps to get through the day.

I'm not sure if I mentioned it or not, but we saw Prince Caspian last week and it was wonderful!:lovestruc I am actually reading The Voyage of the Dawn Treader now which I think is the next movie in the series. I can't wait for the next movie to come out!:banana: We also saw a preview for Wall E (Disney/Pixar's new movie out in June) and I'm still a little unclear about what the movie is actually about. We're looking forward to seeing that one too.:goodvibes

Homeschooling is officially done for the summer tomorrow.:banana: The girls will be doing some work over the summer, but probably on an every other day basis and only for an hour at a time.

Well, that's about all from here....Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!:hug:
