Long story short, we buy tons of toys @ Christmas for charity. Over the years I have become pretty good at negotiating directly with toy manufacturers for bulk toy orders...this deal beat all of them.

Preschool board games are on sale for $3.99
If you buy $25 in Hasbro games you get a $10 gift card for Toys R Us
Additionally there is a mail in rebate for $2.00 per game

Here is what I bought:

Candy Land
Chutes & Ladders (Disney Princess Edition)
Memory (Toy Story Edition)
Hi Ho Cherry-O
Cootie
Don't Spill the Beans
Don't Break the Ice

Receipt total with 8.25% sales tax $30.23
Toys R Us gave me a $10.00 gc
Mail in rebate value $14.00 or $2.00 per game (and you don't have to cut the games apart for the rebate, perfect for donating)

As far as I am concerned I just spent $6.23 for 7 board games (which should make a couple of kids happy this holiday season) or 89 cents each.

How I love a deal!

Whoa. That's a fantastic deal! Was that in the TRU ad this week? I wonder if i can get a raincheck if they run out of games. Hmmm...

Where is the mail in rebate? Is it in the package?

In the past there was a download form at hasbro's website OR tearpads in the game section of most retailers. I have done the rebate a few times.

We already have most of these games but dd wants sorry sliders so that will get me most of the way to $25 if it's included.

Yes, it was in the Toys R Us Sunday ad--on the cover.

Other things to consider:

My husband reminded me that I have to use a stamp for the rebate so the real cost per board game is 95 cents not 89 cents (he is a perfectionist).

Also as I look at my rebate for the Princess Edition of Chutes & Ladders is not listed (I don't care about the extra $2.00 (it's really cute)) so for those looking for the BEST deal to be safe you would want to buy a regular Chutes & Ladders or any of the other $3.99 games with $2.00 rebate.

Finally, the rebate requires you send the original receipt. If you plan to buy other things at Toys R Us at the same time I would check out with the rebate items separately (I am not sure if Toys R Us would take a receipt copy for any other items--it you later needed to return or price match).

Happy deal hunting everyone.

The rebates were located in front of the games on a tear pad.

Games included on the rebate form with rebate amount listed after are:

Monopoly $3
The Game of Life $3
Pictureka! $3
Scrabble $3
Sorry! $3
Jenga $3
Battleship $3
Connect 4 $3
Operation $3
Trouble $3
Twister $3
Gator Golf $3
Hungry Hungry Hippos $3
Elefun $3
Giraffalaff Limbo $3
Scatterpillar Scramble $3
Topsy Turtle $3
CandyLand $2
CandyLand Sweet Celebration $2
Cutes & Ladders $2
Memory (all versions) $2
Hi Ho! Cherry -O $2
Cootie $2
Don't Spill the Beans $2
Don't Break the Ice $2

One rebate per Game, per Household, and LIMIT ONE REBATE CHECK per family, household address

Thanks for the info. My kids will love this.

BTW-Love the kitty pic in your avatar. I just had to put down our almost 20 year old kitty this week and her face looked just like that one. Made me smile.

My store said one gift card per patron, so I didn't even try to do more than onedeal. That's cool that you did it 3x! I did the Hasbro deal and bought a Leapster game with the $4 off coupon and a ouple other things, so I got the $10 gc for spending $75, too. I'm hoping I can use them both in one transaction, because I want to go back tomorrow and get the Air Hog heli on sale for 19.99 with my two gc's!

The gift cards are just like cash. You should be able to use as many as you have in one transaction and can still use the $10 gift card with $75 purchase coupons too (based off your total before using gift cards).

I plan to go to Toys R Us on Tuesday to buy 3 copies of Up on blu ray. Should work like this:

3 Up blu ray ($25.99 *3)
3 Dug plush (free with DVD purchase)
$10 gift card (free with $40 purchase of Disney movies)
$10 gift card (coupon for $10 gift card w/$75 purchase)

Minus whatever Up coupon becomes available (hoping for $8-$10 off each).
If Up coupon is $10, total after gift cards will be $34.01, so about $11.50 per blu ray and a Dug for each movie.

Where can i find the info for the $10 gift card with $40 purchase of Disney movies?
