So it is almost my daughters b-day. I was thinking of a cool new doll that does something? What does you 4 year old love?

THanks!

How funny... my 4 year old is the only one of my 3 kids for whom I've bought practically nothing for Christmas. I think it's because I'm convinced that she's the "easiest" so I'm not really worried.

I did get her a CD player and some Disney CDs. And some clothes. In addition to that, Santa has gotten each member of my family a fanny pack for our upcoming trip to WDW.

Other possiblities:

-- She loves any sort of small character toys. Polly Pocket kinds of stuff (OK, I know lots have been recalled. But she's 4; she does NOT put them into her mouth. So I'm not really worried about her or her 7 year old sister playing with them.) But any sort of those little characters will keep her occupied forever.

--She loves any sort of craft. So I'll pick up some craft kits.

-- She's a big fan of rocks for some reason. Last year I found a website that had rock samples for $1.20 or so. I got a dozen (different colors-- greens and reds and blues and deep browns-- some were gorgeous!!!) I put them into an embroidery thread caddy and voila! she had a rock collection for $15.

--She still loves baby dolls, so she may be getting one.

--Each of my kids got another Webkinz. You might consider a membership on www.clubpenguin.com if she isn't already a member.

-- I went to www.vistaprint.com and ordered each of my kids some stationary items (I ONLY order their freebies. Each week there's a different variety of freebies; you DO pay for shipping and handling. And don't order any of the specials that come up after you check out.) But my kids love to play office, so they each have some letterhead stationary, sticky notes, business cards, note cards, stamps, even a T shirt with the name of their fictional company.

-- There are always board games. (Again, with 2 older siblings, we have enough of them!!) Or a new comforter for her bed, or a cool chair for her room. Last year I found flannel princess/Cars sheets for my kids and they still love to use them.

No 4 yr old little girl at my home but I spend LOTS of time with them. They all seem to like the baby alive doll. My Ds even had one at 4.

They also like the Bratz dolls but i can not stand them and would not buy one for a child.

Here are some items my 4 yo daughter liked:

* saw on commercials:Real Loving Baby ($50 walmart) and the Strawberry Shortcake baby ($25).

* a stroller or crib or clothes for the baby would be a great gift.

* Leapster w/some cartridges would be used daily!!

* play doh

* puzzles

I'm sure a doll would work my sister loves dolls she is not four but when she was she absoulutly LOVED THEM she still will ocasionally play with them. Oh I think mabey...............OH dress up clothes disney ones, any kind would work.

hope this is great advice

No current 4 year old in our house, but I do have an almost 3 year old dd and a 7 year old dd. Both my girls love dolls. I am buying the 3 year old the Bitty Twins from American Girl for Christmas, and I think they would make a great gift for a 4 year old girl.

DD#1 is also 4 and so far I have:
Whack a mole
Littlest pet shop round and round pet town
Enchanted tales princess carriage w/horse +2 aurora/prince philip
Candyland
Ratatouille dvd
lite brite
books
polly pocket stuff (those $5 off coupons have been GREAT!)
a plastic card holder (when we play uno, she has a difficult time keeping the cards spread out in her hand...)
my mom also bought each girl a Disney doll + some clothing

She'll probably also get a few leapster games, some wooden and acrylic beads and string so she can make necklaces, the barbie (island princess), new pajamas, some stamps, a microphone, a cash register, another few pieces for her twin time dollhouse and possibly something star wars related b/c both DD's LOVE starwars between DH's and my family and Santa.

Both dd's are also getting the Clickstart to share from Santa.:thumbsup2
