I absolutely LOVE it and can't wait to drive it down to WDW next week!!!

I really recommend www.siennaclub.org as the people there know everything there is to know about the Sienna minivan!

Good luck with your purchase :)

Thanks so much for the info and enjoy your trip!

What a beautiful light display! Thank you also for sharing that with us - your time and efforts are very well appreciated by those of us who are display challenged!

I am considering this van as a replacement to my KIA SUV.
Thanks.

I'm not positive, but I think we average around 19 mpg :).

Thanks :). It's a lot of work, but definitely worth it!

Hope you find the Sienna to be everything you are looking for!

My 98 gets about 19-20 city and 23-24 highway. I get my through www.edmunds.com. They didn't have what I wanted in the Atlanta area but found what I requested in Flordia and had it delivered to my local dealership. I second whoever said to get what you want as opposed to the dealer installing.

Just wanted to jump in as another happy Sienna owner! We have a 1998 with 83K miles and still love it!! Alas, I also have new model envy. I have raved about my van so much, there are 4 new ones in the parking lot at school during pickup. Gotta love those Siennas!

We own a 2001 Sienna LE. We Love it! Just recently started thinking about trading up to a 2004. I didn't look at your package choices but I would definately add the automatic doors, as you probably already know as a van owner/ mom, it would come in handy as you wouldn't have to unload all you are carrying to open the door. Can't wait to trade up.

P.S. After e-mailing about 20 dealerships with specs on what I wanted and asked for their best offer, we bought our on-line at CarsDirect.com (as their price beat all) and picked it up at a Cars Direct office located at a local dealership (who when I entered their showroom previously told me flat out they could neither beat or even match Cars Direct price). :earseek:

kapica3 - like that idea - thank you! Hate the haggling part and forgive me to those who are not, but most car salesmen are not female friendly and can be condescending -

Tom and I are getting "buggy" trying to figure out what we want on it - all safety equipment and some of the "bells and whistles" - of course, we could go "hog wild" on it also!!!

We are going down to Indy on Friday to see the Young Black Stallion and do some Toyota Sienna evaluating - gotta sit in it, drive it, etc.....

I just hope after all the wonderful reports from everyone on this forum that I don't drool too much on the seats!

We woke to a White Christmas Eve Morning! Anyone interested in shoveling snow?

hi Rae,
I rarely jump off the cruiseboard but something sent me over here today.

We bought our Sienna the first year it was produced (98?). Believe it or not, we haven't had a problem with our car (no mechanical issues) that it is hard for me to remember when we bought it.

Anyway, ususally they have kinks to work out during their first year of production...but we haven't experienced a single one. Like others have said, I'd love to have a newer model, but there isn't a reason to trade ours in. There is a tremendous amount of space, the comfort ride is amazing and there is something about the "feel" of driving it that gives me added assurance. It "feels" safe and sturdy....not like some of those cheap minivans that I've rented on vacations.

Best wishes to ya. Karen

Hi Karen! Thanks for sharing that - I know most of us cruiseboarders rarely venture out to the other threads, but I'm glad you did.

Yes, you made a very good point about the problems in first year production with vehicles - we don't have enough time, space or energy to tell you what we have encountered with our Pontiac Montana - I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS VEHICLE AT ALL!

Anyway, I am getting too darn excited over this Sienna purchase and still don't exactly know what color/options/etc. I want!!!!! AGGHHH!

Thanks!
Rae
