How is the Toy Story Pizza Planet? Is it a good place to eat dinner after a long day? I want to try something different from 50's and Sci-Fi (we hated sci-fi). How is the food and the arcade. Our family is going with another family each with four kids. The ages are boys-13,11,6,14,13,9,6 and there is one girl-9. Thanks!

I'm no restaurant expert, but I think Pizza Planet is not the place to go if you want to relax. It is very loud inside and I thought it was kinda dirty. The tables were dirty and the kids are naturally running around and screaming because the parents are trying to get them to sit and eat while they'd rather play arcades. But, you may like it. It is counter service, so no need for a ADR. I'd go inside and see if it's somewhere you'd want to eat that day. :)

The food is basically the same Disney Counter Service Pizza you get all the other places. That said--we like it! We aren't very "fancy" so the park pizza and burgers taste great to us! We sat outside so I don't remember much about inside. With that many boys it might be a good place to let them "play", but it could get very expensive for all the games.

The pizza is regular pizza that you get at any other CS place or at your resort. The games are very high priced! Take out that second mortage if you know what I mean. We ate here and all my girls wanted to do was play games, I let them play a few, but they would have stayed all day $$$$$$$$$

My sister ate there when she went to WDW with the high school band (the same time I went with the cheerleaders :teeth: ) and when she got back that's all she could talk about. She loved it there.

It's a very busy and hectic place with kids running all over, especially if it's raining outside. That said, we usually eat there once for a snack. Everything is on paper (plates, cups) It isn't in the same league with Sci Fi or Prime Time or even Mama Melroses, but as long as the $$ is flowing the kids will be happy!!!! With that many kids, I don't think you'll get much of a chance to unwind after a busy day until they're tucked in for the night :confused3

We just ate there last week and I can tell you that it wasn't dirty at all. I am very picky and can't even eat my meal if I feel that a place is dirty or nasty, but Pizza Planet was very nice. They had two people stationed upstairs just to clean up after each table left and they seemed to be doing an excellent job. Our pizza was so fresh that we had to wait a few minutes to even eat it, but it was really good. Our two DS's loved eating there and we will definitely return. Oh yeah, the crane games are fun too!

we went late afternoon in the off season and it was packed and LOUD -- I don't think this is your best bet for unwinding

I suggest Mama Melrose's for an early dinner -- the crowds should be fewer and the food MUCH better

My sons loved Pizza Planet, but I was disappointed in it. I was expecting it to be like a traditional pizza parlor, but it's more like a fast food restaurant.

My sons were obsessed with trying to win a toy from one of the crane games. I think the video games were $.50 and $1.00 each and my sons went through money way too quickly!
