I like it alot, but for a game like that, it's not worth a 60+ minute wait. Hopefully as the novelty of it being new wears off, the wait time will go down, but that's unlikely to happen for a while. We took a fastpass, but the ride was broken when we came back, so after they fixed it in an hour or so, we jumped into the 10 minute standby, then used our passes.
I love it. I really do hope the novelty wears off soon, though. Like maybe before my trip in Feb.
I have a photo somewhere of my watch stating 10:15am. Then directly after it is a shot of the Fast Pass sign. It says 7:00-8:00. It was absurd. This was a regular opening day (9:00). In the time it took for my family to get out oof the mob, the time went from 4:00-5:00 (our window) to the aforementioned.
And the standby was 120 minutes. It was crazy!
But, I hear that the wait for Soarin' on New Year's was like...five hours. So, I guess you could to worse.
LOVED IT! I was smiling the whole time trying to beat my Sister!
the wait was a bit...too long. I hear that if they take out the Fast Passess.. the wait would go by much quicker.
Ack, I went on the DCA one the first time on opening day, then when we were seriously inches away from the cars, it broke down. I was so pissed, but we got a pass to come back the next day and ride it immidiately, and it was great! Definitely fun and once it hopefully dies down with the crowd, it could be a great thing to go on again and again.
LOVE this ride. In October when I was at Disney we went right when the park was closing and there wasn't a wait. But this trip we got fastpasses on Wednesday when the wait was like 90 minutes. But on Sunday we got to the park right when it opened and ran to the ride, and there was already a huge line for the fastpasses. It went from the fastpass machine al the way back to the building across the street and then it kind of wound around that area. It was crazy. But we got our passes right before they ran out of them.
This ride, was no more than 3D projection (or is it LCD) screens and cheaply painted flats. You could clearly see the track below you and the fakeness around you.
As much as I loved it and as fun as it was... WDI could do better, much MUCH better.
I love(d) it!
We never waited too long for it, maybe 30 minutes the first time. Then we get there at park opening ride, and get a fastpass never waiting more than 15 minutes for it. To me it's not worth more than a 20-30 minute wait, but that's just me.
My high score was 190,200
