Huh. I didn't know that- but then Mum always transferred so all they had to do is call the special boat that can be tied to the dock for easier boarding.

I think they can tie all the boats to the dock it's not just a special one. Normally when they "dock" them the skipper just changes the direction of the motor of the boat to keep it in place if someone needs extra time or they have a lot of people boarding they will tie it off

No, sorry but you're wrong. They have one (maybe two) boats which tether with the rope. Certainly last time they told me while we were waiting ready to board that it would be round in about 3 or 4 boats' time. When I commented on the boat's name when it came in, she said 'We only have one accessible boat'. I don't know whether they actually have a wheelchair boat or whether that one is brought out of a side dock for the purpose, but I have transferred onto the boat on my walking stick the last couple of years.
