Toy Story Land Opening

I know there has/is many different discussions around the dates for TSL at HS and I am trying to find the best possible answer. We will be there last week of April, first week of May (4/28-5/6). When will the land be open and when will they be closing down TSMM? Thanks.

I thought it was going to be called Pixar Place? Is this the same thing in HS? So, it's opening this year?

It's going to be called "Toy Story Land". Official opening is "Summer 2018". Speculation on the boards is Memorial Day, mimicking Pandora's opening last year.

I am no expert, but I am hearing it could be anywhere between Memorial Day and the end of June. Probably not April/early May, unfortunately.

You may be thinking of "Pixar Pier" which is the revamp of the Paradise Pier area at Disney's California Adventure. HS Currently has a "Pixar Place" but it's just a dead-end street with TSMM on it now and will be completely blocked off once Toy Story Land opens (TSMM will be accessed from the other side).

Yeah, I think late April is too early. They are saying "Summer 2018" so I expect it to be later. There could be soft-openings but I wouldn't expect it.

I think that even Memorial Day might be too early. The fact that they are holding a hard ticket event for Star Wars on May 27th makes me think that TSL might open closer in June.

Maybe it was after this, but honestly it seems like they are really pushing it if they are going to open it Memorial day, or even "Summer 2018" honestly. That really is not that far away and in a time when they really depend on people booking far out, they are pushing the boundaries of people's patience knowing that bookings need to be made...

At least one of the two attractions is already built, and I don’t get the sense that TSL is anywhere near the complexity that Pandora was. I think 4 more months sounds about right.

I'm not arguing that it will be ready at all...what I am saying is realistically when are they going to announce it. It seems like they want people to plan and go. That window is closing really fast. Most people have their summer plan sewn up by now, if not very shortly...

It was in February. @rteetz reported that in one of the many Toy Story threads that have been popping up every few days.

FP booking was reported in mid-March and began at the end of March.

February 7th was the announced opening and March 24th was FP day
