I saw on the this board that someone heard that they might start having a Toy Story charter meal. I was wondering if anybody heard anything else about it. We are gong in February 2004 and my DS would love to have a meal with them. That's all we do is watch TS & TS2. If anyone have any information on this, I would love some new info! Thanks alot.:D

The idea of a Toy Story Character meal is one that is talked about incessantly on these boards. There have been many, many rumors, but so far, nothing has come to fruition.

I have heard that since the Toy Story characters are jointly owned by Disney and Pixar, that Pixar must give their permission for them to be used. This may be the hold up for the Toy Story meal.

If they can't do a Toy Story Meal, it would be nice to do one that centered on either Heros or Adventurers, and include Hercules, Tarzan, Peter Pan, Capt Hook, Aladdin, etc. Shoot, I would go to that one... especially if Tarzan was going to be there...lol!;)

I am all for a Toy Story character meal too. As a mother of boys, believe me, they would be thrilled!! If anyone from Disney is reading this boards hopefully they'll see how popular this character meal would be.

I agree, I wish they would do one meal that is for boys, I only have one DS, but he is defiently all boy. I know he could like the princesses. (He is a big flirt, likes girls already and is only 2!), but they need to do something else. Maybe they would put something is MGM/Disney Studios, (whatever it is called today). We were going to the Hollywood and Vine charter meal, but I read that that one is cancelled. Maybe they're planning something else to do there instead. We can only hope.

I thought I read a rumor somewhere that Toy Story characters may be part of the re-vamped Horseshoe Saloon Review when it re-opens!? I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for something for boys as well, as mine definitely aren't interested in Cindy's!

Tina, it looks like we'll be there at the same time!

Believe me, if this ever happens it's going to be all over these boards. You woudn't be able to miss it.

JCEmom, where are you staying when your down there. It seems so far away! I can't wait. If this is your first trip you will have such a great time. Hopefully, we will have a great boy's meal before we go!:bounce:

We will probably stay at CBR...though still undecided. (Had reservations for POFQ--made a few days before closing was announced! :( Oh well!)

I've been several times, but this is our first trip as a family...I'm SO excited!

It does seem so far away sometimes, but then I try to remember how fast time seems to fly with kids. (Too fast!)

I'll be keeping my ears and eyes open to see what happens with Diamond Horseshoe, and hoping if it's something for the boys that it will be finished by the time we get there!

OOOH! I'd LOVE this one!!!!

We're staying at POR, right now. I haven't made up my mind if We're changing yet. I'm waiting for the new CM rates to come out, before I make up my mind. We stayed at CBR last year and we really liked it. They only thing I didn't like is the wait at the bus lines for CBR, because its so big a lot more people are at that resort. Other than that, it was great. We stayed at Aruba.

If the Pixar-owned characters thing is really the problem, I just don't get it. It seems to me that a character meal would only INCREASE kids' interest in the characters, which would lead to MORE SALES of movies, tee-shirts, toys, etc. Surely they'd like their characters to be more popular! Of course, there are many things that I just don't get.

I really hope a more boyish character meal is done. As much as Mickey, Gooffey, Pluto, Donald are good they aren't what my son watches. Toy Story is watched daily in my house.
I am going in Feb too!

Toy Story Character meal would satisfy many different audiences/age groups. I know my DH feels funny sitting at a Princess breakfast especially since we don't have children! *He's so good to me!*

I just read on the rumors board that Diamond Horseshoe will be used for some type of character interaction attraction featuring Goofy--with no food available. Oh, well! So much for my hopes of something working out there!:(
