The film is set to hit theaters in June 2017. John created Toy Story and directed the first two films, and its great to have him back directing one of our most valuable properties, Iger said, revealing the news in a quarterly earnings call for investors late Thursday afternoon.
Well I'm actually excited because john Lasseter is back in charge of this one unlike number 3. Pixar hasn't had an unsuccessful movie. And yes I think this will definitely coincide with openings at DHS.Sigh... The first 3 are amazing and I'm so scared a 4th will mess it up. Does this confirm toy story play land coming to hollywood studios? It would give them toy story play land with a movie coming out in 2017, rumored cars addition with Cars 3 hitting theaters in a few years, and the rumored Star Wars expansion that will coincide with the new movies...

incredibles 2 was announced as well as cars 3 earlier in the year.I'd much rather see an Incredibles 2 instead of Toy Story 4. It was wrapped up really well with #3.

You are starting to understand where Disney likes to take shortcuts. A clone of toy story play land from Paris is an easy and cheap thing to do. Disney does need to expand Pixar place and there is a big need for rides that appeal younger children so this is their answer. It's also rumored a cars ride will be part of this. And of course micechat reported that DHS would get a returned maters junkyard jamboree. The spirit on wdwmagic says toy story Star Wars and cars are coming and kiddie rides will be involved.I keep seeing articles talking about the things that might be (or "are") coming to DHS, and this Toy Story Play Land concept keeps coming up. I fully understand the need to have things that are kid-friendly, but for the life of me, I cannot understand the carnival/off-the-shelf attraction mentality other than "let's hurry up and get something in there," which is so short-sighted at this point. If they are going to overhaul this park, at least blow our minds with a few new ideas (Pixar, Star Wars, etc.). There is such a huge amount of Pixar properties from which to choose, and there is already a Toy Story ride and themed dining at DHS (not to mention Buzz's ride at MK)...too much of a good thing... On the bright side, as far as I know, virtually nothing has been officially confirmed by Disney itself (lots of bus driver comments and speculation) as to what is coming in or even what else might be going out, so for now I will rest in the hope that there is still a chance for some new/true "Imagineering" to come to DHS in the next few years.

And cars 3 is coming... And no Pixar movie has been unsuccessful in terms of profitCars 2? One of the worst movies I've seen. And i've seen a lot of movies.
