Has anyone else seen it yet? We went Friday afternoon and I cried and laughed. What a great movie. We didn't even see it 3D. The folks at Disney/Pixar got it right.

I've told all my friends when they asked about the movie

"I laughed...I cried...I thought about how I treated my own toys as a kid...a great cinematic masterpiece"

All of my friends who have seen it have said it was terrific. We haven't had time to see it yet, but maybe next weekend!

Just got home from seeing it. It was awesome. I cried at the end.

DH and I went tonight and it was great. We laughed a lot, I cried (just a little lol) and overall had a great time. The did an excellent job of ending the series.

We saw it Friday night and both thought it was wonderful and yes, I shed a tear or two at the end. :) It was the perfect way to end this trilogy.

If any of you all like finding "easter eggs" in films like I do, /film always puts out a list of hidden items in scenes from Pixar movies that pay homage to older and upcoming movies as well as special items that relate to directors, animators, etc. I always try to find them when I'm watching the movie, but they're so quick and hard to find. I usually will watch a movie over and over at home when it's on a DVD to find them.

I would rather read about easter eggs than try to find them myself, so thanks for the article!

I loved the movie. Mike and I were bawling at the end, along with the older woman next to me who kept gasping and saying "oh no," it was actually quite cute.

DP and I have a "date" night scheduled for tomorrow night to see it.

I can't wait!!

I was hoping to take my nephew but he ended up going and seeing it Friday. Now I don't know if I'll catch it in the theater or wait for it on DVD like I do most movies.

I remember seeing the 1st Toy Story in a theater. We got there just as it was starting and seats were limited. We ended up getting seats in the front row. Wow, what an experience! It felt like we were on a roller coaster!!

I missed the premiere while in Japan, it doesn't come out until July 7th there. But now that I'm back once my sleep pattern is back properly I'll go see it! I find it too hard to be awake during the day. 15 hour time difference sucks..

Saw it last night, cried at the beginning and at the end...

Laughed, especially at the overtly "gay" Ken, and the Monkey with the cymbals! Hysterical!

Great Job! :thumbsup2

I saw it Monday night. Good thing I had extra napkins from my snacks to wipe away some tears at the end. I don't think it was the best Pixar movie, but it was pretty good.

Now I don't know if I WANT to see it!

I hated UP! because it was so sad. Hated it. Never want to see it again.

Now you all are telling me Toy Story 3 is sad, too. :sad2:

I would say it's more moving than sad.

And Up was sad?!?!?!

I found it inspirational and . . . uplifting.

Elizabeth.....not really sad, but well....moving...

So what did everyone think of the short before the movie "Day and Night"?

Saw it yesterday and yes I cried a bit towards the end. Loved it and seeing it again this weekend (thanks to free tickets for buying TS1 and TS@ on bluray). Did not care much for Day & Night (or was it Night & Day). Cute but favorite is the one with the snowglobes.:goodvibes

I thought it wasn't as cute as a lot of the other shorts, and a bit preachy, so I didn't care for it much.

We didn't watch the movie in 3D, but from what I've read it didn't add all that much to the experience. Anybody seen both yet?

Saw it, loved it, cried and offered tissues to the young guy sitting next to us wiping his nose on his shirt. Didn't find it sad as much as nostalgic. Pixar sure knows how to push "emote", eh?

zeitzeuge, many thanks for all the "easter eggs" info.....can't find 'em on my own but love having them pointed out! Wow!
