We are considering going to DL June 6-12th 2010. Do you think the maddness for this new movie will have an impact on this time frame...

Does anyone know when they generally take reservations for this time frame?

I personally don’t think it will... the week you are choosing will be the start of summer vacations I would be more worried about that then the movie coming along... I think crowds are very unpredictable at DL lately but I don’t think the movie is going to draw more crowds in just my opinion

I don't think the movie will have any effect on crowds. You would be looking at Grad Nights and 8th grade end of school trips. And you have the S. CA APs going before being blocked out and the new World of Color at DCA. We went at the end of June this year, and even then hit some major crowds due to the new shows and the S. CA APs. Next year we will go end of July or maybe in August like we have before. I decided that is a better time, at least in my opinion.

As for reservations, it depends on where you stay. Each place is probably different. We made ours for Embassy Suites South at the end of Dec for our end of June trip. If you are looking at packages through Disney, I don't know.

I highly doubt crowds will be higher because of the movie. Last year we were at DL both the day before and the day Wall-E came out - crowd levels the day Wall-E came out weren't any different than the day before.
