Toy Stores at Disneyland?

Can anyone tell me about toy stores at Disneyland? I was reading in a guide book how when you exit "It's a Small World" there is a toy store. What types of toys do they sell? Are there any oher toy stores? Thanks!

Hmmm... interesting question. There are stores all throughout the Resort that sell toys. I don't know that I would call the "toy stores," including the one at the exit of iasw, though. While I realize the actual name of the shop is "it's a small world Toy Shop" there are shops everywhere that sell toys.

Have you looked at a DLR map online? That would help you, I think.

The Emporium on Main Street is a GIANT shop that has entire sections with toys. Likewise, you can find toys in at least one shop (probably) in every land across the Park. Over at DCA there is Engine-Ears Toys, as well as several other shops that - like at DL - carry toys.

there is a shop as you exit Buzz Lightyear that has alot of toys too...Plus DTD has the Lego store and the Ultimate shopping experience at least for me the "World of Disney" store! But it is true there are toys in nearly ever store in the park!

The one at the exit to IASW really is more of a *really* big open stand--it isn't a traditional store in any way. You can shop there without going on the ride, too.

Our favorite toy store is the one already mentioned that is in California Adventure. Engine Ears Toys is fantastic! It is near the entrance to California Adventure and has all sort of toys--plush toys, a variety of Potato Head stuff (our favorite and a MUST!!), action figures, light up toys, baby toys, and all sorts of other things.

The only thing I'd say about Enginears Toys is that it has the most complete selection of toys. However at some point it's going to be rethemed along with the rest of the entry area of DCA, and it may not come back with all those toys.

Definitely take a look at the park guide maps. There are stores and kiosk stands ALL OVER both parks in each land. In Downtown Disney you will find a massive Disney store, and a few other small Disney related stores like Disney Vault 28, D Street, Studio Disney 365, Disney pin traders etc. A lot of the stores carry similar items, but they also carry a few different items too, as they can only hold so much stock. Eg: In Tomorrowland as you get off the Star Wars ride, there is a store that carries a lot of Star Wars themed items. You can go to the World of Disney store in Down Town Disney and find some of those Star Wars items, but possibly not all.
