Y'know, I've been enjoying some Sammy Smith Oatmeal Stout on a late Sat night, and decided I'd check out the DIS ... It's posts like this that make me proud to be a FW goer :grouphug:

I don't see any other WDW guests who can have a tap in thier room.

I vote CAMPIN' TECH O' THE YEAR AWARD !!!!

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!! I saw one of these at the Pittsburgh show, and begged my wife to buy it. She said no! But I saw something even cooler than that

Hey Lone-Star, we're off to the RV show too this afternoon, so I'll keep a look-out for the hauler! DH will love that!

We didn't see that particular toy hauler but we were coralling 2 silly boys all afternoon. That show is huge! I wear a pedometer, and we clocked 9000 steps - that 4.5 miles up down around, and we only hit the travel trailers which looked like bunkhouses.

Seen what I want next :cool1: ... gotta wait til next year though :rolleyes1

We dont have kids so we skiped the bunkhouses. But we have a cart so we where looking for a toyhauler.

We looked real hard at the toyhaulers, they have a surprising amount of room and we thought it transitioned well into bunks for the boys. The unit we ended up with has a bedroom in the back for the boys with plenty of storage space. It came down to the fact that we dont have a cart and probably couldnt afford one for a couple of years after we bought the trailer. We had outgrown our old trailer and sleeping and storage room took a front seat to the ability to haul a cart we dont even have.

When we bought our 5er a few years back I wanted a toy hauler but I didn't have a toy and a normal 5er was cheaper so that is what we got. Now I wish I would have got the toy hauler. Or at least a TT so i could put the cart in the bed of my truck. I bought th swivel wheel for my 5er but that is a whole other story. So we are looking for some sort of a toy hauler.

I hauled my Moms cart in the back of my truck before and its doable, I have to remove my fiberglass cap and its a tough lift for the 4 of us, if the cart had a rear seat I would also have to remove the tailgate. I do have the ability to haul a cart, its just a lot of work to get in.

Heck, we felt there was far more room in a Toy Hauler. We do haul a cart, or ATV or Ranger depending on where we are going but also use the garage as a seperate bedroom for the kids when they visit since A/C is piped in. Much more room than a regular fiver. Also, when not used as a bedroom it is used to put whatever junk we want out of the way in the garage...just like home. You can't beat it...except for maybe that KEGERATOR!!:thumbsup2

The Dallas RV show is this weekend. There were 2 models of the Inferno on display, the 3912 and 4012. I really liked the layout of this trailer. Although with an UVW of 13000lbs and a GVWR of 18000 its definitely pushing the limits of what I would feel comfortable towing with my F350. Not to mention 42'5" is longer than I really want. The show price for either of the models was $59,999. Add another $50K for a new tow vehicle (something like a used Volvo VNL64T converted to single axle). Yup, I'd be all set to go then. :rotfl:

One thing I've noticed is that since their introduction the toy haulers are getting a lot nicer. I remember the first toy haulers I remember looking at were very "sterile" looking and very monochrome. They've definitely been making them more marketable to a wider segment of the RV shoppers.

Yes toy haulers have got a lot nicer. I just wish they where cheaper. The length and weight I can handle but the price:scared1:
