TownePlace Suites by Marriott?

Hi everyone.

Has anyone stayed at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott near Disneyland?

We'll be in Disneyland the second week of September and are using points at this hotel. I've stayed at this chain in other places with great success, but I can't find any reviews for for this specific hotel anywhere.

It looks ok, but it's awfully far from the parks. You'd be relying on ART to get back and forth. Not always convenient and fun. Anyplace closer you can stay?

I have never stayed at this particular hotel, but it looks nice enough and Marriott is usually good. We've stayed at hotels where we had to use the ART before and it's not that bad. I actually preferred using the ART versus the Crowne Plaza shuttle!

Thank you very much for your responses! I was so tied up in Disney I hadn't thought of looking at TripAdvisor or any other review sites!

This is a bit off the beaten track, but for the price (free! I think we're going to stay there. We could do one of the closer Marriott properties, but this uses so few points and I really like having a kitchen.

We stayed there in December for free as well. I loved having a kitchen and 2 bedrooms. We didn't do the ART we paid for parking but when the hotel is free it's not a huge deal. Anyway the hotel was very nice, employees were friendly and we had a great time.

The Fairfield Inn is run by Marriott... Can you use your points there?

Yeah, we could...but TownePlace uses a lot fewer points. We have a lot of travel planned this year, so I'm trying to be "points cheap" to maximize our free nights

OK...after more extensive exploration of these boards -- especially HydroGuy's many tips and rules -- we have switched our points reservation to Fairfield, despite the steeper points hit.

Thanks to all for the great information! We're sooooo excited! We can't wait!
