Towncar service vs rental car

We are a family of 4--two adults, two children (ages 8 & 5)--last trip to Disney we rented a car for just one night so that we could do our own grocery store stop and then had towncar take us to airport at end of vacation....just wondering if we decide to do towncar service both ways this time, if there will be enough room in car for the four of us, our luggage (probably including one small stroller) and small amount of groceries. Would we be better off renting car short term again??? Would like to be able to return car to Disney Car Care Center for convenience. Any suggestions? Also, any good discounts on rental? Thanks for any help.

IMHO:I think you'll do better using a towncar service with a grocery stop if that's all you'll be using the car for. I'm sure you'll have plenty of room. Plus I think you'd save lots of time by not having to pick up and drop off the car since the towncar driver is waiting for your party at baggage claim then picks you up at your desired time for the return trip.

We've gone with 4 adults and no children.The trunk can get full.
What we are doing this time is getting a vn instead of the Towncar. We have 4 adults and 2 children this time. It is only $10.00 more ,well worth it for us. Good luck.

We've done it both ways, and also used Mears. For this trip I have reserved a car for one day on each end of trip through Dollar. I joined their Fastlane program (free) online and received 2 coupons for 1 class upgrade. I have a compact car reserved (only 2 of us) for $24.99 per day. The total from the airport is $32.26, and back to airport $29.30. There is a Dollar desk the the Courtyard on Hotel Plaza Blvd. just up from Downtown Disney (within walking distance).
