I have a Town & Country Van and I have the one with one automatic door. My automatic door will not lock with the remote or with the lock button inside the door. It is not under warranty and I do not want to pay to get it fixed. It has been this way for a few months and it is a pain. I have to open my passenger door to unlock it. I was hoping someone else may have this van and might know how to fix the problem. Any ideas are appreciated. TIA

Use the lock button or key fob while sitting in the van. See if you can hear the lock actuator moving inside the door. If you can hear it, it is probably a linkage that has fallen off. If you can not hear any sounds coming from the door the actuator is probably bad or even frozen (old grease). Hopefully this helps! :)

Hey! I just saw you are from Ohio. I live in Warren so hi neighbor.

A neighbor of mine had this problem- they had something 'stuck' inside of where it locks. And, I think that once it was removed- it' worked just fine. I have a T&C but haven't had this problem. I wonder if it's easy to get things stuck in that locking area? Or if it's an area that gets a lot of build-up

I had a similiar problem. My remote would not lock or unlock any of my doors. It would beep like it had but not really do it. (It would still open and shut them if they were unlocked.)

Dh work/mechanics couldn't override/reset it. I had to get it reset at the dealer. Took less than an hour and cost approx $80.

I had that issue, and when I looked at it closely, I found the my wonderful DD had dropped a resturant crayon pack in the door track on the bottom. Check there.

Good luck :)
