Any recent experiences with a car service that you would recommend?
Looking for a car for our party of two so we do not have to deal with shuttles after a 6 hour flight in hopes of getting some park time in that evening!

The staff at GCH referred me to Best Chauffeured Worldwide. I have not gone on my trip yet but felt the customer service I received over phone and email was very helpful. Another company I called (i think it was called American Eagle or something) appeared very disorganized and didn't want to do an advanced booking. Hope that Helps

we usedDK Livery on our may trip and booked again for our august trip -- cars were clean, drivers friendly and they provided a booster for DS.

I would second DK Livery. I had to change what airport they had to pick us up at an hour before our flight left. The driver was still there to meet us. He was also there waiting for us at the agreed time for our early morning flight back home. Car was clean. Driver was quiet, but I felt quite safe and didn't feel he took any unnecessary risks while driving.

DK Livery is also known as Lansky Enterprises. They have a flat rate that includes a tip and they let us stop at the grocery store on our way to the hotel. Driver assisted us in getting luggage from baggage claim and managed to fit all of our luggage and 6 of us in his car!

Another vote here for Lansky/DK Livery. I agree with the other posters. The cars were clean, the drivers were courteous, safe drivers, and on time. We would most definitely use them again.

Thanks for all the replies!
I sent a request for a quote with DK livery/Lansky.

For those of you who used DKlivery, did they charge your card when you made the reservation, or at the time of service?

I just booked on 7/20. They charged my card the full amount on 7/22. They did say (in writing) that I would get a full refund if I cancelled up until 3 hours before pick up time.

Thanks. I have never been charged before the service date before so it surprised me to see the charge on my card already. I will just print out the receipt and be sure to have it with me.

That's what I plan on doing. I have it printed out with my other materials for the trip. Have a great time.

How do you find the car when you land at LAX? Do you go out to the transportation area? I'm traveling alone with my daughter and we used Karmel shuttle last time (my husband was with us) and it was chaos trying to find the van.

My receipt says that the driver will hold a sign with our name in the baggage claim area. Sounds easy! Hope it all goes smoothly!

When we've used them, the driver usually meets us by baggage claim with a sign. They're very easy to find. Also, they sometimes will send you a text message letting you know which baggage area you want to look for.

Although they say no gratuity, do you do it anyway?? I don't want to do anything wrong.

If we've gotten extra good service (see my previous post about the text message for baggage claim, for example), I will sometimes give the driver a little extra. Not much, $5 or $10. But I never feel obligated, and I've never had the driver act like he expects it.

This thread has told me my Disney brain has kicked in, I read toontown car LAX to Disneyland and thought wow how cool is that.
